Tannaz Khamea

Tannaz Khamea is a graduate of Biomedical Engineering and Control Engineering from the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom. She began her professional career in media in 2012, entering the field as a news presenter. Over the years, she has gained extensive experience in news presenting, reporting, covering a wide range of events—including from conflict zones—and producing social documentaries. Throughout her work, she has sought to give voice to people, experiences, and stories that can sometimes go unheard amid the noise of everyday life.
Tannaz Khamea is a writer who sees writing as a bridge between personal experience and our shared human world—a means of narrating suffering, hope, and the moments that give life meaning. Her work explores the hidden layers of human experience, where migration, love, loss, hope, and the search for identity become intertwined. Her stories emerge from lived experience; rather than seeking to pass judgment, they invite readers to empathy, reflection, and self-discovery.
