رامین احمدی

رامین احمدی (پزشک، شاعر و‌ نویسنده) در سال ۱۳۶۰ در هفده سالگی به امریکا مهاجرت کرد و از آن تاریخ دیگر ایران و شهر دوران نوجوانی‌اش، کرمان، را ندید. پیش از رفتن به مدرسه‌ی پزشکی در رشته‌ی تاریخ ‌ادبیات روسیه تحصیل کرد. فارغ‌التحصیل رشته امراض داخلی و بهداشت عمومی از دانشگاه ییل است. از او تاکنون کتاب‌های زیر منتشر شده‌اند: به یاد عشق‌های گذشته، مجموعه شعر (نشر هنر، سال ۱۹۹۲)؛ شعر ایران در دهه شصت، مجموعه مصاحبه و معرفی شاعران (انتشارات پر، سال ۱۹۹۴)؛ پرونده عباس امیر انتظام، مجموعه مقالات (انتشارات پر، سال ۱۹۹۸)؛ نامه به عدالتخانه تاریخ، مجموعه نامه‌های امیر انتظام از زندان (انتشارات پر، سال۲۰۰۰)؛ افسانه و نیمای جوان، شعر نیما در دهه ۱۳۰۱-۱۳۱۱ (نشر فرزانه ، تهران ۱۳۹۵، نام نویسنده برای چاپ‌ در داخل کشور ایلیا کیان احمدی است). رامین با همسر و دو پسرش در ایالت کنتیکت امریکا زندگی می‌کند

Ramin Ahmadi

Ramin Ahmadi, a physician, poet, and writer, immigrated to the United States in 1981 at the age of seventeen and has not returned to Iran or his childhood city of Kerman since. Prior to attending medical school, he studied Russian history and literature. He completed his training in internal medicine at Yale and went on to get a master of public health from Yale school of public health. His published works include “In Memory of Past Loves,” a collection of poems (Honar, 1992); “Iran’s Poetry in the Eighties,” a collection of interviews and introductions of poets (Par, 1994); “The Trial of Abbas Amir-Entezam,” a collection of essays (Par, 1998); “Letter to the Court of History,” a collection of Amir-Entezam’s letters from prison (Par, 2000); and “Afsaneh and the young Nima, Nima Youshij’s Poetry during his youth, an analysis of Nima’s poetry from 1922-1932 (Farzaneh, Tehran 2015, published under the name of Ilia Kian Ahmadi). Ramin currently resides in Connecticut, USA, with his wife and two sons.

رضا علامه زاده

رضا علامه‌زاده (متولد 1943) فیلم‌ساز، نویسنده و روزنامه‌نگار ایرانی است که بیش از شش دهه در سینما، ادبیات و فعالیت‌های فرهنگی حضور داشته است. او از اعضای فعال «سندیکای هنرمندان و کارکنان سینمای ایران» و «کانون سینماگران پیشرو» در سال‌های پرتحول پس از انقلاب بود و پس از ترک ایران، فعالیت‌های هنری‌اش را در اروپا ادامه داد.

علامه‌زاده کارنامه‌ای گسترده در فیلم مستند، سینمای تبعید، و ادبیات داستانی دارد و آثارش—از جمله رمان‌ها، مجموعه‌داستان‌ها و سه کتاب خاطرات—در مرز میان تجربهٔ شخصی و تخیل هنری حرکت می‌کنند. او با نگاهی انتقادی و انسانی، همواره به مسائل اجتماعی، آزادی بیان و سرگذشت تبعیدیان پرداخته است.

Reza Allamehzadeh

Reza Allamehzadeh (born 1943) is an Iranian filmmaker, writer, and journalist whose career spans more than six decades across cinema, literature, and cultural activism. A former member of the Iranian Film Artists’ Syndicate and the Progressive Filmmakers Association, he played an active role in the cultural landscape of Iran before leaving the country and continuing his work in Europe.

Allamehzadeh’s body of work includes documentaries, feature films, novels, short stories, and three volumes of memoirs. His writing and filmmaking often blend personal experience with creative imagination, addressing themes of social justice, freedom of expression, and the lived reality of exile. His voice remains a distinctive and influential presence in the world of Iranian diasporic arts and letters.

جواد علوی

جواد علوی در سال‌های ۱۳۷۸ تا ۱۳۸۵ دبیر مجموعۀ «داستان کوتاه» در تهران بود که به صورت گاهنامه منتشر میشد. هر شماره این مجموعه علاوه بر نشر داستانهای کوتاه و معرفی نویسندگان جوان، مقالاتی در پژوهش ادبی داشت که به تحلیل ساختاری قصه‌نویسی و ادبیات روایی ایران در دوره‌های کهن، مشروطه و معاصر می‌پرداخت. او یکی از محققان آثار داستان¬نویسان متقدم و نویسندگان جوان افغانستانی در ایران است که تحول و نو شدن ادبیات داستانی این کشور را بررسی کرده است. علوی پیش از انقلاب هم در نقد ادبی فعال بود و طی سال‌های ۱۳۴۷ و۱۳۵۰ با سیروس طاهباز درانتشار شماره های اول و دوم «دفترهای زمانه» و با کاظم رضا در تهیه جُنگ ادبی «لوح – دفتری درقصه» (از شماره ۱ تا ۴) همکاری داشت. در سال ۱۳۵۰ به بخش پژوهش ومستند تلویزیون ملی ایران پیوست و تحت مدیریت فریدون رهنما مونوگرافی صید و شکار در شمال ایران را نوشت. سایرمقالات و نوشته های نویسنده در مجله های کارنامه، گفتگو، و رودکی در ایران و مجله باران در استکهلم سوئد چاپ شده است

Javad Alavi

Javad Alavi served as the editor of the Short Story series in Tehran from 1999 to 2006. This occasional publication featured short stories, introduced young writers, and included articles on literary research, analyzing the structural aspects of storytelling and narrative literature in Iran across historical, Constitutional, and contemporary periods. Alavi is recognized as a researcher of early fiction writers and young Afghan authors in Iran, examining the evolution and modernization of Afghan fiction. Before the revolution, he was also active in literary criticism. Between 1968 and 1971, he collaborated with Cyrus Tahbaz on the first two issues of Daftarhaye Zamaneh and with Kazem Reza on the literary anthology Loh: A Notebook on Stories (issues 1 to 4). In 1971, he joined the Research and Documentary Department of Iran’s National Television, where, under the management of Fereydoun Rahnema, he authored a monograph on hunting and fishing in northern Iran. His other articles and writings have been published in Iranian magazines such as Karnameh, Goftogu, and Roudaki, as well as in Baran magazine in Stockholm, Sweden.

منصور علیمرادی

منصور علیمرادی، شاعر، محقق و داستان‌نویس متولد رودبار زمین است. علیمرادی برای ثبت و ترجمه‌ی سنت شفاهی رودبار به فارسی دست به پژوهشی قوم‌شناسانه زده است. این تلاش بخشی از خدمت گسترده‌تر او در زمینه مطالعه شعر، فرهنگ عامیانه و سنت‌های رودبار است.

Mansour Alimoradi

Mansour Alimoradi is a Persian-language poet from Roudbar. Alimoradi undertook an ethnological effort to record and translate the oral tradition of Roudbar into Persian. This effort is part of his wider contributions to the study of Roudbar’s poetry, folk culture, and costumes.

عباس امانت

عباس امانت تاریخ‌نگار برجسته‌ی ایران و جهان فارسی‌زبان است که با دهه‌ها فعالیت علمی در دانشگاه ییل به‌عنوان استاد ممتاز تاریخ شناخته می‌شود. او دانش‌آموخته‌ی دبیرستان البرز و دانشگاه تهران است و دکترای خود را در سال ۱۹۸۱ از دانشگاه آکسفورد دریافت کرد. امانت بین سال‌های ۱۹۸۳ تا ۲۰۲۱ در دانشگاه ییل تدریس کرد و نقش مهمی در شکل‌گیری و گسترش مطالعات ایران و خاورمیانه ایفا نمود. حوزه‌ی پژوهش او تاریخ ایران در دوران مدرن و پیشامدرن، اندیشه‌های مهدوی در تشیع، و روش‌شناسی تاریخ‌نگاری را در بر می‌گیرد. از مهم‌ترین آثار او می‌توان به کتاب‌های ایران: تاریخ مدرن، قبله‌ عالم، رستاخیز و نوزایی، و اسلام آخرالزمانی و تشیع ایرانی اشاره کرد. وی همچنین سردبیری و ویرایش چندین مجموعه‌ مقاله و اثر پژوهشی را بر عهده داشته که پیوندهای تاریخی میان ایران، جهان اسلام، و چشم‌اندازهای جهانی را بررسی می‌کنند.

امانت افزون بر تالیف، در مقام سردبیر، استاد، و روشنفکر عمومی نقش مهمی در گسترش دانش ایران‌شناسی ایفا کرده است. او سردبیر نشریه مطالعات ایران بوده، برنامه‌ی مطالعات ایرانی در مرکز مک‌میلان دانشگاه ییل را مدیریت کرده و مدخل‌های مهمی را برای دایرةالمعارف ایرانیکا نگاشته است. فعالیت‌های پژوهشی او دامنه‌ای وسیع را دربر می‌گیرد: از ویرایش متون کلاسیک گرفته تا پژوهش در زمینه‌ی تاریخ مهدوی، حکمرانی در ایران پیشامدرن، و تحولات فرهنگی در حوزه‌ی دریای خزر. همکاری‌های علمی او با پژوهشگران تاریخ، ایران‌شناسی، و محیط‌زیست منجر به بازاندیشی در مفهوم هویت ایرانی، حافظه‌ی تاریخی، و سنت‌های دیوان‌سالاری ایرانی شده است.

Abbas Amanat

Abbas Amanat is a distinguished historian of Iran and the broader Persianate world, recognized for his decades-long academic contributions as William Graham Sumner Professor Emeritus of History at Yale University. A graduate of Alborz High School and Tehran University, Amanat received his PhD from the University of Oxford in 1981. He taught at Yale from 1983 to 2021, where he helped shape the field of Iranian and Middle Eastern studies. His extensive body of work explores themes in early modern and modern Iranian history, apocalyptic thought in Shi‘ism, and historiography. His acclaimed books include Iran: A Modern History, Pivot of the Universe, Resurrection and Renewal, and Apocalyptic Islam and Iranian Shi’ism, alongside numerous editorial projects and collaborative volumes that bridge Iranian, Islamic, and global historical perspectives.

Amanat has also been a prolific editor and public intellectual. He served as Editor-in-Chief of Iranian Studies, led the Yale Program in Iranian Studies, and has contributed seminal entries to Encyclopaedia Iranica. His scholarly influence spans textual editing, the history of millennialism, Persianate governance, and cultural exchange in the Caspian world. Through collaborations with historians, Iranologists, and environmental scholars, he has helped illuminate underexplored dimensions of Iranian identity, memory, and statecraft.

بهروز بدخشان

به روایت مهر خانسالار

بهروز بدخشان، بهار ۱۳۴۳ آمد و پیش‌از آن‌که دست‌نوشته‌هایش را به چاپ بسپارد، در بهار ۱۴۰۰ رفت. برخلاف پیچیدگی‌های ذهن خلاق او، داستان دست‌نوشته‌هایش بسیار ساده و آشناست: بخش‌های زیادی از آن‌ها گم شد و آن‌چه باقی ماند یک‌جا جمع شد تا به همت دوستانش چاپ شود. یک‌سال پس‌از رفتن بهروز، در سال ۱۴۰۱ سه فصل از رمان نیمه‌تمام «صحراروغن» به همراه نمایشنامه کامل «بیستون» چاپ شد و اکنون که رمان «بدری» او به‌دست چاپ سپرده شده است، فقط فیلمنامه‌ی کامل «جایی برای خواب» و مجموعه‌ای از طرح‌های نمایشنامه و فیلمنامه‌ی او مانده که به‌زودی آماده خواهد شد.

حالا که بخشی از کارهایش آماده چاپ است تا بهروز بدخشان به‌تصویر کشیده شود می‌بینم بهروز فقط همین‌ها نیست. بهروز نقدهای دقیق، تند و بی‌رودرواسی‌اش هم بود، همه‌ی داستان‌هایی که از حفظ می‌خواند، همه‌ی جمله‌هایی که در نشست‌های دورهمی داستانی می‌نوشت که با هم بپرورانیم تا گاهی به داستان‌های خوبی برسد و برسیم. بهروز همان‌اندازه که طنزهای گزنده و نیشدارش بود، مرام جوان‌مردانه و آسمان‌جلی‌اش هم بود. تضادهایش منحصربه‌فرد بود و همین تضادها شخصیتی نزدیک و درعین حال دورازدسترس از او ساخته بود. شلوغی و خنده‌های از ته دلْ درکنار لحظه‌های سکوت و نوشتن در ذهن، عشق به درجمع بودنْ و تنهاییِ بی‌حدومرزی که آن را با هیچ‌کس شریک نمی‌شد، نگرانی‌ها و وسواس‌های فکری‌اش و چیزهای دیگر. بهروز همه‌ی این تضادها بود. وجودی پر از شورِ زندگی با میل عمیقی به مرگ. چیزی که بیدادِ زندگی‌اش شد. مرگی که می‌توانست آزادش کند تا بپرد.

Behrooz Badakhshan

Behrooz Badakhshan was born in the spring of 1964, and before he could entrust his manuscripts to publication, he passed away in the spring of 2021. Contrary to the complexity of his creative mind, the story of his manuscripts is simple and familiar: much of the work was lost, and what remained was gathered so that, with the efforts of his friends, it could finally be published. One year after his passing, in 2022, three chapters of his unfinished novel Sahra-Rowghan (“Oil Desert”) were published alongside his complete play Bisutun. And now that his novel Badri has gone to press, only the complete screenplay A Place to Sleep and a collection of his play and screenplay drafts remain, which will be prepared soon.

Now that a part of his work is ready for publication, allowing Behrooz Badakhshan to be seen more clearly, I realize that Behrooz is not just these works. Behrooz was also his sharp, candid, uncompromising critiques; all the stories he could recite by heart; all the sentences he wrote during our storytelling gatherings—sentences we nurtured together in hopes of shaping them into good stories someday. Behrooz was as much his biting, incisive humor as he was his chivalrous nature and sky-bright generosity. His contradictions were unique, and it was precisely these contradictions that fashioned a personality at once intimate and yet out of reach.

The bustle and his wholehearted laughter alongside moments of deep silence and writing within his mind; his love of being among people alongside a boundless solitude he shared with no one; his worries, his obsessions, and so much more. Behrooz was all these contradictions—a being full of the passion of life, with a profound longing for death. A longing that became the tragedy of his life. A death that, perhaps, could have freed him—let him fly.

امیر حسین بختیاری

امیر حسین بختیاری، متولد ۱۳۵۵، فارغ‌‌‌التحصیل کارشناسی ارشد معماری و داستان‌‌نویس ساکن تورنتو است،. علاقه‌‌اش به نوشتن از سال‌های نوجوانی و با تشویق معلمین ادبیات شکل گرفت. پیش از مهاجرت، با نگارش داستان‌های کوتاه و مقالات طنز در نشریات دانشجویی، در فضای ادبی حضور داشت، اما نوشتن برای او همیشه فراتر از انتشار و دیده شدن بود. نوشتن راهی بود برای مواجهه با درونیات، برای بازتاب تجربه‌‌های شخصی و به اشتراک گذاشتن آنها.

تجربه مهاجرت نقطه ‌عطفی در مسیر امیر حسین است؛ تجربه‌‌ای پیچیده و چندلایه که گاه رنگ طنز دارد و گاه طعم تلخی روزگار را به خود می‌گیرد. این تجربه او را به بازنگری در زبان و سبک نوشتار سوق داده و انگیزه‌‌ای شد برای خلق آثاری تازه. مجموعه‌ داستان ”از شمال‌ غرب“ حاصل این دگرگونی است؛ روایتی شخصی از آدم‌ها، روابط انسانی و نگاهی تازه به جهان اطراف، از زاویه دید نویسنده‌‌ای که میان دو فرهنگ ایستاده و از داستان‌ها دروازه‌ای ساخته است به دنیای درون.

Amir Hossein Bakhtiari

Amir Hossein Bakhtiari, born in 1976, holds a Master’s degree in Architecture and is a fiction writer based in Toronto. His interest in writing began during his teenage years, nurtured by the encouragement of literature teachers. Before immigrating, he participated in literary circles by writing short stories and satirical essays for student publications. However, for him, writing was always more than just publication or visibility—it was a way to confront his inner world, to reflect on personal experiences, and to share them.

The experience of migration marked a turning point in Amir Hossein’s journey—a complex and layered experience that at times bears the color of humor, and at others, the bitter taste of life’s hardships. This experience prompted him to reexamine his language and writing style and became a catalyst for creating new works. The short story collection “From the Northwest” is the result of this transformation: a personal narrative of people, human relationships, and a renewed perspective on the surrounding world, told from the viewpoint of a writer standing between two cultures—who has fashioned his stories into a gateway to his inner world.

Hadi Dowlatabadi is a retired physicist who focuses on uncertainties in science and labile social norms.  He employs this perspective in trying to improve policies in environmental protection and public health.  He lives and works in Vancouver, Canada.

Hushang Dowlatabadi is a retired physician and active author with an enduring interest in human and animal behaviour.  This is his seventh novel, all in Persian.  He has also translated Conrad Lorenz’s “On Aggression” into Farsi.  He lives and works in Tehran, Iran.

هادی ابراهیمی رودبارکی

هادی ابراهیمی رودبارکی متولد ۱۳۳۳- رشت؛ شاعر، نویسنده و سردبیر سایت شهرگان آنلاین؛ مجله‌ی دیاسپورای ایران فرهنگی در ونکوور کاناداست

فعالیت ادبی و هنری ابراهیمی با انتشار گاهنامه فروغ در لاهیجان در سال ۱۳۵۰ شروع شد و شعرهای او به تناوب در نشریات نگین، فردوسی، گیله‌مرد، گردون، تجربه، شهروند کانادا و مجله شهرگان آنلاین چاپ و منتشر شدند

او فعالیت فرهنگی خود را در دیاسپورای ایران فرهنگی – کانادا از سال ۱۹۹۲ با نشریه‌‌ی «نمای ایران» آغاز کرده و سپس در فرگشتی «آینده‌» و «شهروند ونکوور» را منتشر کرد و از سال ۲۰۰۵ تاکنون نیز سایت شهرگان را مدیریت می‌کند

ابراهیمی همراه با تاسیس کتابفروشی هدایت در سال ۲۰۰۳ در نورت ونکوور، به نشر کتاب‌های شاعران و نویسندگان دیاسپورای ایران فرهنگی پرداخت و بیش از ۱۰ کتاب را توسط نشر آینده و نشر شهرگان روانه بازار کتاب کرد. اولین انجمن فرهنگی-ادبی را با نام پاتوق فرهنگی هدایت در سال ۲۰۰۳ به‌همراه تعدادی از شاعران و نویسندگان ایرانی ساکن ونکوور راه‌اندازی کرد که پس از تعطیلی کتابفروشی هدایت در سال ۲۰۰۷ این انجمن با تغییر نام «آدینه‌ شب» برای سال‌ها فعالیت خود را بطور ناپیوسته ادامه داد

هادی ابراهیمی رودبارکی در سال ۲۰۱۰ رادیو خبر فرهنگی شهرگان را تاسیس و تا سال۲۰۱۵ فعالیت خود را در این رادیو ادامه داد

Hadi Ebrahimi Roudbaraki

Hadi Ebrahimi Rudbarki, born in 1954 in Rasht, is a poet, writer, and editor-in-chief of Shahrgon Online, a journal dedicated to the Iranian cultural diaspora in Vancouver, Canada.

Ebrahimi’s literary and artistic activities began with the publication of the periodical Forough in Lahijan in 1971. His poems have been regularly published in Negin, Ferdowsi, Gileh-Mard, Gardon, Tajrobeh, Shahrvand Canada, and Shahrgon Online.

He started his cultural work in the Iranian cultural diaspora in Canada in 1992 with the magazine Nama-ye Iran and later evolved into publishing Ayandeh and Shahrvand Vancouver. Since 2005, he has been managing the Shahrgon website.

In 2003, alongside the founding of Hedayat Bookstore in North Vancouver, Ebrahimi began publishing books by poets and writers from the Iranian cultural diaspora, releasing over 10 books through Ayandeh Publishing and Shahrgon Publishing. He also co-founded the Hedayat Cultural center in 2003 with several Iranian poets and writers living in Vancouver. After Hedayat Bookstore closed in 2007, the association continued intermittently under the name “Adineh Shab.”

In 2010, Ebrahimi established the Shahrgon Radio, where he continued his activities until 2015.

ساناز اقتصادی‌نیا

ساناز اقتصادی‌نیا، نویسنده و منتقد ایرانی، متولد تیر ۱۳۶۰ است. او پس از فارغ‌التحصیلی از رشتۀ روزنامه‌نگاری دانشگاه علامه طباطبایی، فعالیت حرفه‌ای خود را از سال ۱۳۷۸ با مجلۀ گزارش فیلم آغاز کرد و خیلی زود به یکی از چهره‌های فعال مطبوعات فرهنگی و هنری بدل شد. نوشته‌ها و نقدهای او در نشریاتی چون سینمای نو، چلچراغ، پیام‌آور، کتاب هفته، مردم و جامعه، ایران، همشهری، بانی فیلم و بسیاری از روزنامه‌های اوایل دهۀ هشتاد منتشر شد.

پس از مهاجرت به امارات، از بنیان‌گذاران «باشگاه فیلم و تئاتر تماشاخانۀ دوبی» شد. او سپس مسیر حرفه‌ای خود را در انگلستان ادامه داد و در دورۀ فیلم‌نامه‌نویسی دانشگاه سیتی لندن و دورۀ نویسندگی داستان جنایی دانشگاه کمبریج شرکت کرد.

ورود اقتصادی‌نیا به عرصۀ داستان‌نویسی با انتشار مجموعه‌داستان کاناپه (نشر نی، ۱۴۰۰) همراه بود. یک سال بعد، رمان دستِ خدا؛ مارادونا را نیز توسط نشر نی منتشر کرد. او همچنین به‌عنوان مدرس ادبیات جنایی در کارگاه‌های نویسندگی فعالیت می‌کند.

Sanaz Eghtesadinia

Sanaz Eghtesadinia is an Iranian writer and critic, born in Tir 1360 (July 1981). After graduating in journalism from Allameh Tabataba’i University, she began her professional career in 1999 with Gozaresh-e Film magazine and soon became one of the active figures in Iran’s cultural and artistic press. Her articles and reviews were published in journals such as Cinema-ye No, Chelcheragh, Payam-Avare, Ketab-e Hafteh, Mardom va Jame’eh, Iran, Hamshahri, Bani Film, and many other newspapers of the early 2000s.

After emigrating to the United Arab Emirates, she became one of the founders of the “Dubai Playhouse Film and Theatre Club.” She later continued her professional path in England, where she attended the screenwriting program at City, University of London, and the crime fiction writing course at the University of Cambridge.

Eghtesadinia entered the field of fiction with the publication of the short story collection Kanapeh (The Couch, Ney Publishing, 2021). One year later, she published the novel The Hand of God; Maradona, also with Ney Publishing. She is also active as an instructor of crime literature in writing workshops.

کیان امامی آهنگساز، مدرس موسیقی، نوازنده‌ی پیانو، و موسیقی‌دان، نامزد جایزه‌ی معتبر جونو برای آهنگسازی “ماهی سیاه” است. او در کارنامه‌ی آهنگسازی خود، سفارش ساخت موسیقی برای آثار مختلف اپرایی، سمفونیک، فیلم، تئاتر، و موسیقی معاصر داشته است که از میان این آثار می‌توان به «سمفونی در سه موومان»، اپرای «در سایه‌ی راب فورد»، «سبز: پنج قطعه برای پیانو» و باله‌ی «خسرو و شیرین» اشاره کرد.

وی فراگیری موسیقی را از کودکی با نواختن پیانو آغاز کرد. پس از اخذ مدرک کارشناسی در رشته‌ی مهندسی پلیمر از دانشگاه پلی‌تکنیک تهران به دلیل علاقه‌ی فراوان به موسیقی، تصمیم به ادامه‌ی تحصیل در رشته‌ی آهنگسازی گرفت. او موفق به کسب رتبه‌ی برتر در آزمون سراسری رشته‌ی آهنگسازی شد و تحصیلات آکادمیک خود را در مقطع کارشناسی ارشد دانشگاه هنر تهران ادامه داده و با کسب رتبه‌ی اول فارغ‌التحصیل شد. از اساتید او در ایران می‌توان به احمد پژمان، حسین دهلوی، مهران روحانی، طالب‌خان شهیدی، و حمیدرضا دیبازر در اصول آهنگسازی و ارکستراسیون، و همچنین شریف لطفی، تامارا د‌‌لیدزه، و فرمان بهبود در اصول اجرای موسیقی و نوازندگی پیانو اشاره کرد. پس از اتمام تحصیل، وی به ساخت آثار موسیقی در سبک‌های معاصر و آموزش موسیقی در دانشگاه هنر تهران، دانشگاه آزاد، هنرستان عالی و هنرستان موسیقی تهران پرداخت.

پس از مهاجرت به کانادا با دریافت بورس کامل تحصیلی به دانشکده‌ی موسیقی دانشگاه تورنتو راه یافت و موفق به دریافت دکترای آهنگسازی خود از دانشگاه تورنتو در سال ۱۳۹۹ شد. استاد راهنمای وی در دوره‌ی دکترای موسیقی، کریستُس هَتزیس بوده و در زمینه‌ی آهنگسازی و ارکستراسیون از آموزش اساتیدی چون الکساندر راپُپُرت و نُربِرت پَلِی نیز بهره‌مند شد. در حین تحصیل در دانشگاه تورنتو، او افتخار همکاری به عنوان استادیار با اساتید این دانشگاه از جمله رايان مَك‌لِلَند ، مارک سالمِن ، و سباستیانو بیسیلیا را داشته است. او همچنین مدرس رسمی موسیقی در رویال کنسرواتواری کانادا و از داوران برگزیده‌ی این کالج موسیقی است.

کیان امامی مدیر و موسس آکادمی موسیقی کلاویه می‌باشد که در سال ۱۳۸۹ در تورنتو آغاز به فعالیت کرد. وی کارگاه‌های متعددی را در این موسسه برای آهنگسازان و نوازندگان جوان برگزار کرده و هنرجویان مستعدی را پرورش داده است. وی همچنین از بنیان‌گذاران و آهنگسازان سازمان هنری آیکات و استودیوی تولید موسیقی کلاویه و همچنین مدیر هنری این تشکل‌ها می‌باشد. او در طول مدیریت بیش از یک دهه در این دو سازمان، موفق به تولید بیش از صد اثر جدید و برگزاری بیش از پنجاه کنسرت موسیقی در سراسر کانادا شده است. از وی تاکنون کتاب‌های «فرم و طرح در موسیقی» توسط نشر ماهور و «موسیقی در لبه‌ی پرتگاه» توسط نشر آسمانا منتشر شده است.

Keyan Emami

As the co-founder and artistic director of Key Music Productions and the ICOT collective, Emami brings a wealth of expertise to his compositions, drawing from his doctoral studies in composition at the University of Toronto. Alongside his illustrious career as a composer, Emami serves as an RCM Certified Music Teacher and Adjudicator at The Royal Conservatory College of Examiners, enriching the next generation of musicians with his passion and knowledge.

Emami’s monograph, Music on the Borderland, offers readers a captivating exploration of the complex and evolving landscape of Iranian music. Through meticulous research and personal insight, Emami invites readers to delve into the untold stories and creative journeys of Iranian composers, shedding light on the diverse influences that shape their artistic expression. This monograph marks the first part of a trilogy about Emami’s lived experiences. Furthermore, Emami has composed two additional musical works as part of this trilogy: “Journey Inwards,” an orchestral exploration reflecting the composer’s inner psychological reality, and “The Black Fish,” a musical interpretation of imaginative landscapes evoking strong emotions. Together, they offer a profound journey through themes of identity, resilience, and artistic expression.

اکبر فلاح زاده

اکبر فلاح زاده در رشته ادبیات دراماتیک از دانشکده هنرهای دراماتیک تهران لیسانس،‌ و در رشته ادبیات نوین آلمان و علوم رسانه‌ای از دانشگاه ماربورگ آلمان دکترای خود را گرفته است.

نخستین کتابش ترجمه نمایشنامه “عید پاک” آگوست استریندبرگ در میانه دهه شصت به‌خاطر پیشگفتار ضد جنگ و صلح‌طلبانه اش ممنوع شد.

سال‌ها نویسنده‌ در رادیو زمانه بوده و کتاب “مجازات اعدام،‌ تاریخ،‌ منشاء،‌ قربانیان” از کارل برونو لدر آلمانی را هم ترجمه کرده است

Akbar Fallahzadeh

Akbar Fallahzadeh earned his bachelor’s degree in Dramatic Literature from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Tehran and received his PhD in Modern German Literature and Media Studies from the University of Marburg, Germany. His first book was a translation of the play Easter by August Strindberg, which was banned in the mid-1980s due to its anti-war and peace-promoting preface. He has been a writer for Radio Zamaneh for many years and has also translated The Death Penalty: History, Origins, and Victims by the German author Karl Bruno Leder.

Aria Fani

Aria Fani is an assistant professor of Persian and Iranian studies at the University of Washington, where he co-convenes the Translation Studies Hub. His first book, Reading across Borders: Afghans, Iranians, and Literary Nationalism (University of Texas Press, 2024), was translated into Persian by Shirazeh Press in Iran. Outside of academia, he advocates for non-citizen Americans, focusing on asylum seekers from Central America.

رضا فرخفال

رضا فرخ‌فال کار ادبی خود را با انتشار داستان‌هایش در جُنگ اصفهان در اواخر دهه چهل آغاز کرد. از آن زمان تاکنون از او داستان‌ها و نوشته‌هایی در نقد ادب و فرهنگ فارسی و نیز ترجمه‌های متعددی منتشر شده است. کتاب  «حافظ و باژگویی (آیرونی)» (نشر آسمانا) و نیز مجموعه داستان «‫جشن جایی دیگر» از آثار  تازه منتشر شده‌‌ی اوست. رضا فرخ‌فال همچنین به‌عنوان ویراستار با بنگاه‌های معتبر انتشاراتی همکاری داشته و به همراه زنده‌یاد کریم امامی از پایه‌گذاران نخستین انجمن ویراستاران در ایران بوده است. رضا فرخ‌فال دانش‌آموخته‌ی دانشگاه پهلوی (شیراز) و دانشگاه کنکوردیا (مونترآل) است. رضا فرخ‌فال در سال‌های اخیر  به تدریس زبان فارسی در دانشگاه‌های مک گیل (مونترآل) و در آمریکا در دانشگاه ایالتی ویسکانسن در شهر مدیسون و نیز دانشگاه ایالتی کلرادو در شهر بولدر اشتغال داشته است. دو دوره کتاب در آموزش زبان فارسی در سطح دانشگاهی  به نام  «فارسی: اینجا و اکنون» از تالیفات اوست که در چند دانشگاه معتبر آمریکا تدریس می‌شود.

Reza Farokhfal

Reza Farokhfal began his literary career by publishing short stories in Jung-e Esfahan (edited by the late Hooshang Golshiri and his friends) in the late 1960s. Since then, he has published numerous stories and essays in Iranian literary journals and periodicals. His recently published works include the book Hafez and Irony (Asemana Books) and the short story collection Feast in Another Place. Reza Farokhfal has also collaborated as an editor with reputable publishing houses and, alongside the late Karim Emami, was one of the founders of the first Editors’ Association in Iran. He is a graduate of Pahlavi University (Shiraz) and Concordia University (Montreal). In recent years, he has taught the Persian language at McGill University (Montreal), the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the U.S., and Colorado State University in Boulder. He has authored two university-level Persian language textbooks titled Persian: Here and Now, which are taught at several prestigious universities in the United States.

امین فاطمی

امین فاطمی، شاعر، مترجم، معلم و پژوهشگر ادبیات ایرلندی مقیم ریدینگ، انگلستان است. او در کالج ترینیتی دوبلین تحصیل کرده و در حال حاضر در حال اتمام دکترای خود است. پایان نامه دکترای او در دانشگاه ریدینگ بر روی کارهای اولیه ساموئل بکت و پدیدارشناسی ست.

Amin Fatemi

Amin Fatemi is a teacher, translator, and Irish literature scholar. He studied at Trinity College Dublin and is currently finishing his PhD on the early work of Samuel Beckett and phenomenology at the University of Reading. He is the general editor of Longitūdinēs, a multilingual magazine for creative writing, literary translation, and the arts. He has taught courses on Samuel Beckett’s prose, English and Irish poetry, poetic meter, and James Joyce’s Ulysses. His current research focuses on the Irish language and literature written in modern Irish.

علی فتح‌اللهی

علی فتح‌اللهی شاعر، نویسنده و مترجم در سال 1356 در خرم‌آباد به دنیا آمد. از اواخر دبیرستان نوشتن را آغاز نمود. او دوران تحصیل دانشگاه را در مقطع کارشناسی مهندسی کامپیوتر در دانشگاه اصفهان آغاز کرد و با دکترای علم کامپیوتر از دانشگاه اوتاوا به پایان رساند. هم‌زمان با تحصیل، به انتشار داستان کوتاه و شعر در سایت‌های ادبی ادامه داد. از جمله آثارش کتاب «کلاغ»، ترجمه شعر بلندی از ادگار آلن پو، مجموعه شعر «تبعیدی راکی» و ترجمه‌ای از داستان کلاسیک “ریپ فن فینکل” با عنوان ماجرای «یارمرا و غار دره ملاکتها» است. عمده فعالیت ادبی فتح اللهی در حال حاضر سرودن شعر به دو زبان انگلیسی و فارسی با تم علم کامپیوتر است.

Ali Fatolahi

Ali Fatolahi, a poet, writer, and translator, was born in Khorramabad in 1977. He began writing in high school and pursued his higher education with an undergraduate degree in computer engineering from the University of Isfahan, ultimately earning a doctorate in computer science from the University of Ottawa. Concurrent with his academic pursuits, he continued to publish short stories and poems on literary platforms. His notable works include the book “kalaq,” a translation of Edgar Allan Poe’s the Raven, a collection of poems titled “Exiled to Rocky,” and a translation of the classic story “Rip van Winkle” under the title “Yarmara wa qar darrah Malakatha.” Presently, Fatolahi’s primary literary focus lies in composing poetry in both English and Persian, often incorporating themes from computer science.

علی فومنی

علی فومنی، شاعر، نویسنده و کارگردان تئاتر است. شعرها و داستان‌های کوتاه او در نشریات ادبی دهه‌ی هفتاد و هشتاد ایران به چاپ رسیدند و نخستین کتاب شعرش در سال ۱۳۹۲ توسط نشر نوگام در لندن منتشر شد. برخی از نمایش‌نامه‌‌‌های او توسط کارگردانان ایرانی اجرا شده‌اند اما هیچ‌یک از آثارش در ایران امکان انتشار نیافته‌اند. او تاکنون نمایش‌نامه‌هایی از خودش و نیز آثاری از آنتون چخوف، هارولد پینتر، تنسی ویلیامز و ساموئل بکت را در ایران، امارات، کانادا و امریکا به صحنه برده است. علی فومنی، در کنار نوشتن و کارگردانی، بیش از دو دهه در زمینه‌ی آموزش فعالیت داشته و علاوه‌بر طراحی آموزشی و آموزشگریِ ادبیات، علوم اجتماعی و هنرهای نمایشی، دَه‌ها دوره و کارگاه آموزشی را برای هنرجویان، دانشجویان و آموزشگران در ایران و کشورهای دیگر برگزار کرده است. 

انتشارات آسمانا در سال 1402، نمایش‌نامه‌ی «درنای سیبری» را از همین نویسنده منتشر کرده است

Ali Foumani

Ali Foumani is a poet, writer, and theater director. His poems and short stories were published in Iranian literary magazines during the 1990s and 2000s, and his first poetry collection was released in 2013 by Nogaam Publishing in London. Several of his plays have been staged by Iranian directors, though none of his works have been permitted for publication in Iran.

Foumani has directed productions of his own plays as well as works by Anton Chekhov, Harold Pinter, Tennessee Williams, and Samuel Beckett in Iran, the UAE, Canada, and the United States. Alongside his writing and directing, he has been active in education for over two decades. In addition to designing curricula and teaching literature, social sciences, and performing arts, he has conducted dozens of courses and workshops for students, artists, and educators in Iran and abroad.

In 2024, Asemana Books released his play The Siberian Crane.

مهدی گنجوی

مهدی گنجوی (نویسنده، محقق و مدرس دانشگاه) دکترای خود را در زیرشاخه رهبری آموزشی و آموزش عالی در دانشگاه تورنتو به اتمام رسانده و تخصص تحقیقاتی او بر جنگِ سردِ فرهنگی و تاریخ کتاب، چاپ، ترجمه و آموزش در خاورمیانه مدرن است. او در زمینه تاریخ کتاب در دانشگاه تورنتو تدریس میکند. گنجوی مدخل «بیژن الهی» را برای دایرت المعارف ایرانیکا نوشته است و مقالاتش در ژورنال هایی چون مطالعات ایرانی، و بررسی مطالعات خاورمیانه نیز منتشر شده است.  غیر از تحقیق و داستان نویسی، به ویرایش و احیای آثار ادبی پس از مشروطه می‌پردازد. تاکنون ویرایش او از شش اثر عبدالحسین‌ صنعتی‌زاده، از جمله «رستم در قرن بیست و دوم» و «مجمع دیوانگان»، و نیز کتاب «صادق ممقلی شرلوک هلمس ایران داروغه اصفهان» از کاظم مستعان السلطان منتشر شده است. آخرین دستاورد او، ضبط و ویرایش «ترجمه هِنریه» به قلم محمد باقر خراسانی بزنجردی (انتشارات مانیاهنر، تهران)، قدیمی‌ترین ترجمه هزارو‌یک شب به فارسی، بوده است

Mahdi Ganjavi

Mahdi Ganjavi is a distinguished historian specializing in education, literature, print, and translation within the Middle East. Mahdi Ganjavi holds a PhD from the Department of Leadership, Higher and Adult Education at the University of Toronto. A former postdoctoral fellow at the School of Education and Social Policy at Northwestern University, he currently teaches at the University of Toronto. Over the past seven years, he has undertaken the editing and publication of six lesser-known Persian novels dating from the 1920s to the 1940s. These novels provide valuable insights into the origins of historical and utopian fiction, science fiction, and detective fiction within the Persian literary tradition. Recently, Ganjavi has successfully completed the first critical edition of “Henriyah Translation” (tarjumah hinrīyah), which represents the earliest Persian translation of “One Thousand and One Nights” (Maniahonar, 2022).

Mohammad Ghassemzadeh

Mohammad Ghassemzadeh (b. 1955, Nahavand, Iran) is an acclaimed Iranian fiction writer, researcher, and compiler whose prolific body of work spans thousands of pages. Known for his literary versatility, historical insight, and commitment to cultural heritage, Ghassemzadeh has made a significant impact on contemporary Persian literature.

He began his academic journey at the University of Tehran in 1973, where he found intellectual inspiration not only in the classroom—especially in Simin Daneshvar’s History of Art course—but also in the bookstores surrounding the campus. His literary career took off in the 1980s, with his first stories appearing in influential literary magazines such as Gardoon, Takapoo, Adineh, and Donyaye Sokhan. These early works were later collected in his debut short story collection, The Seasonless Birds, largely written during his teaching tenure in Beijing at the Broadcasting University and through his collaboration with Beijing Radio’s Persian section.

Over the years, Ghassemzadeh has published a wide range of works, including the novels A Knight on a Bit of Wind and The Dance of the Pelican, both experimental in form and narrative. His first novel set in his hometown, An Untimely Lady, remains his most autobiographically grounded work, evoking the spirit of Nahavand and its alleys from his childhood.

In 1999, Ghassemzadeh turned to historical fiction with the publication of Torakina, a novel that reflects his deep engagement with Iranian history—a passion first sparked by Homa Nateq’s classes on historiography. He believes that a deep understanding of a nation’s history is essential to crafting meaningful fiction. His historical novels, including the Mehregan Prize–recognized Torakina, explore temporal and spatial dualities, with settings ranging from 1997 Tehran to eighth-century Shiraz. His work (such as The Eighth City) blends classical intertextuality with modern commentary, often gaining wide public attention and multiple reprints.

Deeply influenced by his political awareness as a student during the politically charged 1970s, Ghassemzadeh’s fiction often wrestles with social and ideological themes. This is evident in works such as The Impossible Dream of Lijoon (2000), The Dance in the Darkness (2004), and his ambitious long story Picking up the Wind (2013).

While he is best known for his long stories and novels, Ghassemzadeh has also written notable short fiction, including the collection The Chair on the Balcony (2012). His literary career is further distinguished by his extensive work in folklore studies. His eight-volume compendium of Iranian folk legends, totaling over 5,000 pages, is a monumental contribution to preserving and interpreting Iran’s oral storytelling traditions.

Ghassemzadeh is also a committed satirist, with Family Secret Memories (1999) standing out as a notable political satire novella.

اردوان گیتی 

دکتر اردوان گیتی، ناشنوا، اهل تهران و از خانواده‌ای ناشنواست که تحصیلات ابتدایی و متوسطه‌ را در مدارس ناشنوایان در ایران گذرانده است. او در سال ۲۰۱۱ با هدف آگاه‌سازی جوانان ناشنوای ایرانی درباره غنای زبان اشاره و فرهنگشان، به عنوان نماینده جوانان ناشنوای ایران در کنگره فدراسیون جهانی ناشنوایان در آفریقای جنوبی شرکت کرد. حوزه‌های پژوهشی او شامل جنبه‌های مختلف زبان اشاره ایرانی (اشارانی) از جمله تدوین یک مجموعه‌ داده‌های اشارانی، ترجمه، تفاوت‌های واژگانی، ترتیب کلمات، و موضوعات مرتبط با اخلاق پژوهش در کار با جوامع زبان اشاره است. دکتر گیتی به همراه همکاران خود «کتاب ناشنوا»، «مقدمه‌ای بر زبان اشاره ایران (اشارانی)» و «اشارانی بیاموزیم» را که اولین کتاب‌ها در حوزه زبانشناسی و زبان‌آموزی زبان اشاره در ایران هستند، ‌تألیف کرده است. او همچنان در حمایت از جوامع ناشنوایان در ایران و سراسر جهان فعالیت می‌کند و سخنرانی‌هایی درباره زبان اشارانی و موضوعات مرتبط به مخاطبان مختلف در آمریکا و سایر کشورها، به صورت حضوری و آنلاین، ارائه می‌دهد. از سال ۲۰۱۷ تا ۲۰۲۳، او به عنوان مدرس پاره‌وقت در دانشگاه گلودت در واشنگتن به تدریس دروس مطالعات ناشنوایان و زبان‌شناسی مشغول بوده است. در حال حاضر، مدیر گروه مطالعات ناشنوایان در کالج اوهلون در سان‌فرانسیسکوی کالیفرنیاست و همزمان به عنوان استاد پاره‌وقت در دانشگاه فرشتگان در ایران تدریس می‌کند. او همچنین به کار ترجمه بین زبان‌های اشارانی، فارسی، انگلیسی و ربان اشاره امریکایی مشغول است.

Ardavan Guity

Ardavan Guity earned a PhD in linguistics at Gallaudet University. He serves at Ohlone College in Northern California as the Director of Deaf Studies.

Amin Haddadi

Amin Haddadi (born September 1992) is a poet, translator, and literary critic based in Tehran. His published works include “Open Wounds and Tehran Spleen” (2021, Afraz Publishing); “Lathe Working the Metal of the Future: Four Fragments and an Anthology of Portraits by Majid Naficy” (2019, Baru Publishing); “The Entrance Permission Cycle: Pilgrimage Prayers for Fear and Wandering in Non-Place” (2023, Baru Publishing); and “Dialogue with the Germen: A Suit with Two Unfinished Letters” (2025, Beyraqhā va Lakkehā).

His latest poetry book, “Prism of Wounded Light,” a trilingual edition of poems accompanied by twenty-one drawings and paintings, has been published by Asemana Books. Several of his articles and translations have appeared in literary journals in Iran and abroad, both in print and online.

Haddadi holds a degree in cognitive psychology and works in psychotherapy, alongside engaging in projects in the field of art therapy.

محمد حاجی ­نیا

محمد حاجی ­نیا، فارغ‌التحصیل کارشناسی ارشد در رشته­‌ی فلسفه از دانشگاه تهران و دانشگاه ایکس مارسی است. پی‌­جوئی‌­های او با اتکا به میدان مفهومی فراهم آمده توسط خوانش آلتوسری از مارکسیسم، متمرکز بر بنیان‌­های «معرفت‌­شناسی»، پراتیک تئوریک، و تحلیل طبقاتی در مارکسیسم است

Mohammad Hajinia

Mohammad Hajinia is a master’s graduate in philosophy from University of Tehran and Aix-Marseille University. Relying on the conceptual framework provided by Althusser’s interpretation of Marxism, his research focuses on the foundations of ‘epistemology’, theoretical practice, and class analysis within Marxism.

امیر حکیمی

امیر حکیمی، شاعر، پژوهشگرِ تاریخِ شعر نوی فارسی و تاریخ تجدد در ایران است. حکیمی نقش پررنگی در زمینه‌ی بازیابی جریان‌های کم‌تر دیده‌شده‌ی تاریخ شعر مدرن فارسی داشته است و با تصحیح و تاریخ‌نگاری آثار شاعران تجربی متعددی در انتقال و در دسترس قرار دادن تجربیات زیبایی‌شناختی آن‌ها به نسل حاضر کوشش کرده است. امیر حکیمی از نویسندگانی‌ست که گرچه بیش از دو دهه در زمینه شعر، داستان و پژوهش ادبی و انتقادی فعال بوده است اما هرگز نوشته‌هایش را در مراجع «رسمی» در داخل کشور منتشر نکرده است. او در این زمینه می‌نویسد: «باورم، از روزی که پهنۀ اینترنت را در برابر خود دیدم و همچنان، این بوده است که در جایی که می‌شود آزادانه بود، چرا به قید و بندهای بیرون تن درداد، منت ناشر و ارشاد را کشید؟»

پیش از این سه مجموعۀ داستان:  «جغرافیای سگ»(1390) «جهان پوستی»(1391) و «جام، خاکستر و گوشت»(1392) و همچنین دو مجموعۀ شعر:  «دو دفتر: ایراکلی و دفتر ضلال»(1393) «تمثیل موسا و عصا»(1393)  و یک مجموعۀ روزنگاشت 1388:  «چون جان آذر خرداد زآذر خرداد»(1394)  را به شکل کتاب الکترونیکی، منتشر کرده‌ است و از افراد فعال و پیشرو در عرصه جنبش کتاب الکترونیکی فارسی ست.

Amir Hakimi

Amir Hakimi is a poet and a researcher of the history of New Persian poetry and the history of modernity in Iran. Hakimi has played a prominent role in the recovery of less-seen currents in the history of modern Persian poetry. By editing and contributing to the historiography of the works of several experimental poets, he has endeavored to convey and make their aesthetic experiences available to a generation of readers.

Amir Hakimi is one of the writers who, despite being active in the fields of poetry, fiction, and literary and critical research for more than two decades, has refrained from publishing his writings through “officially licensed” means within Iran.

امیر حسن‌پور

امیر حسن‌پور (۲۰۱۷-۱۹۴۳)، پژوهشگر برجسته مارکسیست و کرد ایرانی، استاد سابق دانشگاه‌های ویندزور (۱۹۸۷-۱۹۹۳)، و کنکوردیا (۱۹۹۶ـ۱۹۹۴) بوده، و از اواخر دهه نود تا بازنشستگی (۲۰۰۹ـ۱۹۹۹) به تدریس در دپارتمان مطالعات خاورمیانه در دانشگاه تورنتو اشتغال داشتند.

Amir Hassanpour

Professor Amir Hassanpour (1943-2017) was a prominent Kurdish-Iranian Marxist Linguist and Professor Emeritus of Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations at the University of Toronto (UofT), where he taught from 1999 to 2009. His major research areas were Kurdish socio-linguistics, Kurdish history and nationalism, as well as peasant and social movements in the Middle East and Kurdistan. He was an influential intellectual and revolutionary thinker who advocated for Kurdish Studies and the rights of national minorities for self-determination. His wide-ranging research has left significant impacts in these areas.

Domenico Ingenito

Domenico Ingenito, Associate Professor of Iranian Studies at UCLA, specializes in premodern Persian literature, visual culture, and gender studies. His interdisciplinary research integrates philology, literary theory, and manuscript studies, focusing on Persian lyricism. His notable works include Beholding Beauty: Saʿdi of Shiraz and the Aesthetics of Desire in Medieval Persian Poetry (Brill, 2020) and the critical edition and Italian translation of Forugh Farrokhzad’s collected poems, Io parlo dai confini della notte: tutte le poesie (Bompiani, 2023).

Bijan Jalali

Bijan Jalali (1927–2000) was an Iranian poet known for his brief, minimalist, meditative style. Departing from traditional Persian verse, his poems focus on the nature of poetic production, the cosmos, and nature. Though overlooked during his lifetime, Jalali’s work has gained posthumous recognition for its quiet yet profound impact on modern Persian poetry.

امیر کلان

امیر کلان، استاد گروه مطالعات تلفیقی در آموزش در دانشگاه مک‌گیل است. محور پژوهش‌های دکتر کلان  ایجاد نوعی جامعه‌شناسی‌ زبان است که به ابعاد فرهنگی، سیاسی و روابط قدرت در استفاده از زبان و متن بپردازد. وی از تحلیل گفتمان، مردم‌نگاری، تحقیق روایی و پژوهش‌ هنرمحور برای مطالعه ابعاد جامعه‌شناختی خواندن، نوشتن و آموزش زبان استفاده می‌کند.علاقه اصلی او بررسی تجربه‌های دانش‌آموزان اقلیت در زمینه‌های چندفرهنگی و چندزبانه است. تحقیقات او اغلب ماهیتی میان‌رشته‌ای دارد و در تحقیقات آموزشی خود از فلسفه، جامعه‌شناسی، تاریخ و مطالعات فرهنگی بهره می‌برد

Amir Kalan

Amir Kalan is Assistant Professor in the Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE) at McGill University. His research interests include critical literacy, multiliteracies, second language writing, intercultural rhetoric, multilingual text generation, and multimodal and digital writing. In his research, he mobilizes mainstream qualitative research and alternative qualitative methods such as narrative inquiry, autoethnography, and visual ethnography to study sociocultural, discursive, political, and power relational contexts of literacy engagement. He is particularly interested in learning from the experiences of minoritized and racialized students in multicultural and multilingual contexts and from non-Western forms of language and literacy education.

یلدا کاوه

یلدا کاوه استادیار آموزش دو زبانه در دانشکده تربیت معلم مری لو فولتون در دانشگاه ایالتی آریزونا است. او در زمینه جامعه‌شناسی زبان و استفاده از زبان در خانه‌های دو زبانه، مدارس و جوامع تخصص دارد. تحقیق‌های او بر اَشکال مختلف قدرت مانند نژاد، طبقه اجتماعی، قومیت و ایدئولوژی‌های زبانی‌ای که سیاست‌های زبانی در مدارس و خانواده‌های مهاجر دو/چند زبانه را شکل می‌دهند، تمرکز دارد. در طول دهه گذشته، او با معلمان، والدین و کودکان از زمینه‌های زبانی و قومی مختلف در نقاط مختلف ایالات متحده همکاری کرده است. در نقش خود به‌عنوان عضو هیئت علمی دانشگاه، او معلمان و محققانی را که با زبان‌آموزان دو/چند زبانه در ایالات متحده و سراسر جهان کار می‌کنند آموزش می‌دهد. تحقیقات دکتر کاوه در نشریات علمی معتبری همچون

Yalda M. Kaveh is an assistant professor in Bilingual Education at the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College. Her research, teaching, and service focus on language policy, bi/multilingualism in (im)migrant families, family engagement in education, and culturally sustaining pedagogies.

شهرزاد مجاب

شهرزاد مجاب محقق، آموزگار و کنشگر سرشناس ایرانی-کانادایی، استاد آموزش بزرگسالان و توسعه‌ی اجتماعی و همچنین مدیر سابق مطالعات زنان و جنسیت در دانشگاه تورنتو است. ایشان برنده جوایز متعددی منجمله جایزه یک عمر دستاورد انجمن کانادایی مطالعات آموزش بزرگسالان،  جایزه انجمن سلطنتی کانادا در حوزه مطالعات جنسیت، و جایزه خدمات برجسته به آموزش عالی بوده‌اند. پژهش  و تدریس دکتر مجاب بر نظریه‌پردازی مارکسیسم و فمینیسم، تئوری اینترسکشنالیتی، پدرسالاری سرمایه‌داری امپریالیستی و جنبش‌های زنان، دانشجویان و ملیت‌ها در خاورمیانه و شمال آفریقا متمرکز است.

مجاب در طول سال‌های پژوهشگری و کنشگری خود به تأثیر جنگ، آواره‌سازی و خشونت بر یادگیری و آموزش زنان و مباحثی چون جنسیت، دولت، مهاجرت، دیاسپورا و پداگوژی مارکسیستی فمینیستی و ضدنژادپرستانه در سطح بین‌المللی پرداخته و آثار متعددی در این زمینه‌ها تألیف کرده که برخی از آن‌ها به زبان‌های کُردی، ترکی، فارسی، عربی، آلمانی، فرانسه و سوئدی ترجمه شده است.

Shahrzad Mojab

Shahrzad Mojab is Professor in the Department of Leadership, Higher and Adult Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto and Women and Gender Studies, University of Toronto. Professor Mojab has served as the Interim Principal of New College, and Director of Women and Gender Studies Institute. She is the past-President of the Canadian Association for the Studies of Adult Education. Her internationally recognized research explores the areas of educational policy studies, as well as race, gender, class, transnational feminism, and Marxist-feminism.

Fereshteh Molavi

Born in Tehran in 1953, Fereshteh Molavi lived and worked there until 1998 when she immigrated to Canada. She worked and taught at Yale University, University of Toronto, York University, and Seneca College. A fellow at Massey College and a writer-in-residence at George Brown College, Molavi has published many works of fiction and non-fiction in Persian in Iran and Europe. She has been the recipient of awards for novel and translation. Her first book in English, Stories from Tehran, was released in 2018; and her most recent novel, Thirty Shadow Birds, was published by Inanna Publications in 2019. She lives in Toronto.

محبوبه موسوی

محبوبه موسوی، معلم پیشین، نویسنده و پژوهشگر ادبی اهل نیشابور است. در دانشگاه، تاریخ خوانده است و اولین فعالیت ادبی‌اش انتشار داستانی برای گروه سنی الف بوده است با اقتباس از داستان «زال و سیمرغ» شاهنامه به نام «یک پرنده، یک پسر» که در سال 1381 شمسی منتشر شد. سپس به همکاری با ناشران خراسان در زمینه‌ی ترجمه و ویرایش پرداخت و سال 1386، اولین ترجمه او از روی اثری از «ناتالی بابیت»، نویسنده‌ی کانادایی به نام «زندگی ابدی خانواده تاک» منتشر شد. اولین رمان او به نام «سکوت‌ها»، نخستین بار با همکاری «خانه هنر و ادبیات گوتنبرگ» و «نشر ارزان» سوئد در سال 2012 میلادی منتشر شد که چند سال بعد همین رمان، در ایران مجوز گرفت و توسط نشر مرکز در تهران منتشر شد. «خانه‌ای از آن دیگری»، مجموعه دو داستان بلند است که توسط همین انتشارات منتشر شده است و در فضایی ترسناک و وهمی، نگاهی به دو مسأله‌ی اساسی انسان، مرگ و اروتیک، دارد که علی‌رغم جدال درونی، دوشادوش هم پیش می‌روند. مجموعه داستان «طرف تاریکی»، گزینش و ترجمه‌ای است از داستان‌های جهان که باز هم فضای وهمی و ترسناک را دنبال می‌کند. 

محبوبه موسوی، در این سال‌ها در کنار تدریس به ترجمه‌ی چند رمان به سفارش ناشران مختلف پرداخت، از جمله رمان پرخواننده‌ی «دختری در قطار» که اولین ترجمه از این اثر را به بازار فرستاد. 

در سال 1395 به دعوت انجمن ادبی اتریش و مجله بخارا، در شب نویسندگان ایران و اتریش، داستان «نقطه کور» او خوانده و ترجمه شد. این داستان بعدها در مجموعه داستان «بازخوانی چند جنایت غیرعمدی» منتشر شد که به مرگ‌های غیرعادی در جریان روال عادی زندگی می‌پردازد. داستان‌های مجموعه علی‌رغم استقلال از یکدیگر، موضوع واحد خرده جنایت‌های رفتارهای جمعی را دنبال می‌کند. «خرگوش و خاکستر» دومین رمان او در فضایی رئال است که به اشتیاق زنان برای رهایی از سلطه‌ی مردانه و شوق زندگی با هنر در زنان  و مردان می‌پردازد. 

او که تجربه‌ی زندگی در مناطق مختلف ایران از جنوب تا شمال کشور را دارد، ردپای هر منطقه در داستان‌هایش خود را نشان می‌دهد از آبادان جنگ‌زده در «سکوت‌ها» تا گیلان بارانی در «لنگه کفش‌ها» و «بازخوانی…» و خراسان در «خرگوش و خاکستر» و حاشیه‌ی تهران در «فرار از مجتمع دخترانه».  موسوی علاوه بر نوشتن رمان و داستان کوتاه به کارهای پژوهشی هم پرداخته است و «انسان و زمین؛ بررسی ادبیات داستانی از منظر زیست محیطی» به نقد محیط زیستی داستان‌هایی از نویسندگان ایران و جهان پرداخته است که دغدغه‌‌ی حفظ زمین و محیط زیست در داستان‌هایشان هویداست.‌ او که همچنان مشغول نوشتن کار تازه‌اش است، مهم‌ترین دغدغه‌اش را ادبیات خلاق می‌داند تا با خلق جهان‌های دیگر، نقبی به معنای بودن بزند. بودن در جهانی که در اثر زخم زدن‌های انسان، روز به روز کوچک‌تر می‌شود؛ خلق معناهای فراخ فقط در ادبیات و هنرها میسر است.

Mahbobe Mousavi

Mahboubeh Mousavi, a former teacher, is a writer and literary researcher from Neyshabur. She studied history at university, and her first literary activity was the publication of a children’s story adapted from the “Zal and Simorgh” tale in the Shahnameh, titled A Bird, A Boy, which was published in 2002. She later collaborated with Khorasan publishers in the fields of translation and editing. In 2007, her first translation—a Persian version of Tuck Everlasting by Canadian author Natalie Babbitt—was published.

Her debut novel, Silences, was initially released in 2012 through a joint effort between the Gutenberg House of Art and Literature and Arzan Publishing in Sweden. A few years later, it was published in Iran by Nashr Markaz in Tehran. A House Belonging to Another, a collection of two novellas, was also released by the same publisher. Set in a haunting and surreal atmosphere, the book addresses two fundamental human themes—death and eroticism—that, despite internal conflict, proceed side by side.

Mousavi’s short story collection The Dark Side is a selection and translation of stories from around the world, continuing her exploration of eerie and uncanny themes. Alongside teaching, she has translated several novels for various publishers, including the widely read The Girl on the Train, for which she delivered the first Persian translation to the market.

In 2016, invited by the Austrian Literary Society and Bukhara magazine, her story The Blind Spot was read and translated at the Iran-Austria Writers’ Night. This story was later included in her short story collection Revisiting Several Unintentional Crimes, which delves into unusual deaths occurring within the ordinary flow of life. Despite the independence of the stories, the collection is thematically unified, focusing on the minor crimes inherent in collective behavior.

Her second novel, Rabbit and Ashes, is set in a realist context and explores women’s longing for liberation from male dominance and their passion for life through art, affecting both women and men.

Having lived in various regions across Iran, from the south to the north, Mousavi reflects these settings vividly in her stories—from war-torn Abadan in Silences to rainy Gilan in A Pair of Shoes and Revisiting…, and Khorasan in Rabbit and Ashes, as well as the outskirts of Tehran in Escape from the Girls’ Complex.

In addition to writing novels and short stories, Mousavi has engaged in research projects. Her work Human and Earth: A Literary Study from an Environmental Perspective offers an eco-critical reading of stories by Iranian and international writers concerned with environmental preservation. For her, in a world increasingly shrinking under the wounds inflicted by humanity, it is only through literature and the arts that broader meanings can be created.

Mansour Noorbakhsh

Mansour Noorbakhsh is a poet, writer, and translator, creating works in both English and Persian (Farsi), his native language. His writings advocate for freedom, human rights, and environmental awareness. He believes that dialogue between people across the world is essential for fostering peace, and that poetry serves as a powerful medium to amplify the call for human rights.

Mansour is the York Region Branch Manager and a Member-at-Large on the Executive of The Ontario Poetry Society. He has also hosted The Contemporary Canadian Poets, a weekly Persian radio program (persianradio.net | Telegram: Ottawa Radio). In this program, he introduces Canadian poets to Persian-speaking audiences by translating their biographies and poetry into Farsi. Both English readings (by the poets) and Persian readings (by Mansour) are broadcasted, fostering cultural exchange between Persian-speaking communities and Canadian literature.

حسین نوش‌آذر

حسین نوش‌آذر (متولد ۱۳۴۲) نویسنده، مترجم و روزنامه‌نگار ایرانی است. او در اواخر دهه‌ی ۱۳۶۰ از ایران مهاجرت کرد و سال‌ها در آلمان به تحصیل و کار در مراکز درمانی و تیمارستان‌ها مشغول بود؛ ابتدا به‌عنوان پرستار و سپس به‌عنوان روان‌درمانگر. این تجربیات در آثار داستانی او، به‌ویژه در مجموعه‌داستان‌های «دیوارهای سایه‌دار» (انتشارات تصویر، ۱۳۷۱، آمریکا)، «سر سفره خویشان» (۱۳۷۳)، «نامه‌های یک تمساح به همزادش» (۱۳۷۵) و «یک روز آفتابی» (۱۳۷۸) بازتاب یافته‌اند. این دوره از کارنامه‌ی ادبی او، علاوه بر پرداختن به مضامینی مانند جنون و مالیخولیا، تحت تأثیر تجربه‌ی «ناخانگی» و زندگی دشوار پناهجویان در خارج از ایران شکل گرفته است.

در دهه‌ی ۱۳۷۰ تا اواسط دهه‌ی ۱۳۸۰، دو داستان بلند از او منتشر شد: «تأملی بر تنهایی» (نشر باران، ۱۳۷۱) و «نه دیگر تک، نه دیگر تاب: داستان یک شهر بلند» (نشر کتاب، ۱۳۷۶). این دو کتاب تصویری از انزوا در بستر غربت و گسست از ریشه‌ها را ترسیم می‌کنند.

دوره‌ی دوم نویسندگی او (۱۳۸۵–۱۳۹۲) با تمرکز بر انتشار کتاب در ایران همراه بود: رمان‌های «سفرکرده‌ها» (نشر نی) و «سایه‌اش دیگر زمین را سیاه نخواهد کرد» (نشر مروارید)، به‌اضافه‌ی ترجمه‌ی آثاری از ریچارد براتیگان و رمان «جاده» اثر کورمک مک‌کارتی. این دوره هم‌زمان با مهاجرت او به فرانسه و فاصله‌گرفتن از حرفه‌ی درمانی بود. سال‌ها بعد، نسخه‌های بدون سانسور رمان‌های «سفرکرده‌ها» (انتشارات پیام، آلمان) و «برای تو» (انتشارات مهری، لندن) منتشر شد که مورد توجه منتقدان قرار گرفت

نوش‌آذر در سال ۱۳۷۵ به‌همراه بهمن فرسی، نخستین شماره‌ی نشریه‌ی ادبی «سنگ» را منتشر کرد و سپس همکاری خود را با بهروز شیدا (پژوهشگر ادبی مقیم سوئد) و عباس صفاری (شاعر نام‌آشنا) برای ادامه‌ی انتشار این نشریه تا دهه‌ی ۱۳۸۰ گسترش داد. «سنگ» از نشریات پیشرو و معتبر ادبی خارج از ایران محسوب می‌شد.

او از سال ۱۳۸۹ تاکنون به‌عنوان روزنامه‌نگار فرهنگی در رادیو زمانه فعالیت دارد و هم‌زمان با همکاری شهریار مندنی‌پور، نشریه‌ی ادبی «بانگ» را منتشر می‌کند که مدیرمسئول و صاحب‌امتیاز آن است.

Hossein Noushazar

Hossein Noushazar (born 1963) is an Iranian writer, translator, and journalist. He emigrated from Iran in the late 1980s and spent many years in Germany, where he pursued academic studies and worked in healthcare and psychiatric institutions—initially as a nurse and later as a psychotherapist. These formative experiences deeply influenced his fiction, particularly the short story collections Shadowed Walls (Tassvir Publications, 1992, USA), At the Relatives’ Table (1994), Letters from a Crocodile to Its Doppelgänger (1996), and A Sunny Day (1999). This period in his literary career is marked by themes of madness and melancholia, shaped profoundly by the experience of displacement and the difficult realities of life as an asylum seeker.

Between the 1990s and the mid-2000s, he published two novellas: A Meditation on Solitude (Baran, 1992) and Neither Alone, Nor Resilient: A Tall Tale of a City (Ketab, 1997). These works explore the emotional landscape of exile, alienation, and severance from one’s cultural roots.

His second phase of authorship (2006–2013) was characterized by a renewed focus on publishing in Iran. During this time, he released the novels The Departed (Ney Publishing) and His Shadow Will No Longer Darken the Earth (Morvarid Publishing), as well as translations of works by Richard Brautigan and Cormac McCarthy’s The Road. This literary period coincided with his move to France and his departure from the field of psychotherapy. Years later, uncensored editions of The Departed (Payam Publishing, Germany) and For You (Mehri, London) were published, both receiving critical acclaim.

In 1996, alongside Bahman Forsi, Noushazar launched the inaugural issue of the literary journal Sang (Stone). He later expanded the project in collaboration with Behrouz Sheyda (a Sweden-based literary scholar) and the renowned poet Abbas Saffari, continuing publication of the journal into the 2000s. Sang became one of the most innovative and respected Persian-language literary periodicals outside Iran.

Since 2010, he has worked as a cultural journalist with Radio Zamaneh and, in collaboration with Shahriar Mandanipur, publishes the literary magazine Baang, for which he serves as editor-in-chief and license holder.

کاوه اویسی

کاوه اویسی دانش‌آموخته‌ی ادبیات نمایشی، کار نویسندگی خود را از سال هفتاد و هفت با نوشتن داستان کوتاه «آرش» که برگزیده جشنواره داستان دانشجویان اصفهان شد آغاز کرد و در ادامه با ساختن فیلم کوتاه و بازی در تئاتر کار خود را ادامه داد. او در سال‌های میانی دهه‌ی هشتاد هنرجوی کارگاه‌های فیلمسازی عباس کیارستمی بود و توانست چند فیلم کوتاه بسازد و بازی کند. مجموعه‌ داستان کوتاهی شامل ده داستان از اوایل تا میانه‌ی دهه‌ی نوشته است که تا کنون منتشر نشده است. فیلم بلند «پاریس تهران» را سال ۲۰۱۷ ساخت. چند فیلمنامه‌ی بلند و نمایشنامه‌ی دیگر هم در انتهای دهه‌ی نود نوشته است که هنوز فضایی برای ارائه و ساخته شدن آن‌ها فراهم نبوده است. رمان «فیل‌ها به جلگه رسیدند» اولین رمان اوست که توسط نشر آسمانا منتشر شده است.

Kaveh Oveisi

Kaveh Oveisi, a graduate in dramatic literature, embarked on his writing journey in 1998 with the short story “Arash,” which garnered recognition at the Isfahan Students’ Story Festival. He furthered his artistic endeavors by delving into the creation of short films and contributing to theater productions. In the mid-2000s, he honed his craft through participation in Abbas Kiarostami’s prestigious filmmaking workshops, where he not only produced but also showcased his acting talent in several short films.

Despite crafting a collection of ten short stories during the early to mid-1990s, they have yet to see publication due to various constraints. Undeterred, in 2017, he demonstrated his directorial prowess with the feature film “Paris Tehran.” In the latter part of the 2010s, he dedicated his creative energy to the composition of numerous extensive screenplays and plays, unfortunately remaining unpublished and unproduced.

His literary journey culminates in the publication of his debut novel, “Elephants Reached the Plain,” by Asemana Books.

سعید رضادوست

سعید رضادوست، پژوهشگر و نویسنده و شاعر، متولد ۱۳۶۴ ایران (نیشابور) است. او دانش‌آموختۀ حقوق بوده و سال‌ها به صورت تخصصی در حوزۀ ادبیات و حقوق و مباحث میان‌رشته‌ای کوشیده و قلم زده است. تجربۀ حرفه‌ای روزنامه‌نگاری و دوتارنوازی (مکتب شمالِ خراسان) نیز موجب شده است تا او بتواند از چشم‌اندازهای گوناگون به موضوعات بنگرد و دربارۀ آن‌ها بیندیشد و بنویسد.

روزنامۀ مَلِکان: شیوۀ حکمرانی از نگاه خواجه نظام‌الملکِ طوسی(نگاه معاصر: ۱۳۹۸)، روزهای آخرِ اسفند: چیستیِ امید و واکاوی آن در شعر شفیعی‌کدکنی (نشر آسیم: ۱۴۰۰)، تصحیح، مقدمه و تعلیقات بر ترجمۀ طالبوف از پندنامۀ مارکوس اورلیوس(مانِ کتاب: ۱۴۰۲) از جمله کتاب‌های او در حوزۀ پژوهش و تحلیل می‌باشد که تاکنون چندین‌بار تجدید چاپ شده‌اند.

Saeid Rezadoust

Saeid Rezadoust, a researcher, writer, and poet, was born in 1985 in Neyshabur, Iran. A graduate in law, he has amassed years of professional experience working and writing in the fields of literature, law, and interdisciplinary topics. His background in journalism and proficiency in playing the dutar (specifically within the Khorasan North School) have equipped him with a unique perspective, enabling him to analyze and write about various issues comprehensively.

Among his contributions to the field of research and analysis are notable works such as ‘The Way of Governance from the Perspective of Khwaja Nizamul-Molk Tusi’ (published by Negah Mu’aser, 2019), ‘The Last Days of Esfand: An Analysis of Hope in the Poetry of Shafi’i Kadkani’ (published by Asim, 2021), and his editing work, including the introduction and notes on Talebov’s translation of Marcus Aurelius’ ‘Meditations’ (published by Man-e Kitab, 2023). These books have been reprinted multiple times due to their significant impact.

Saeid Rezadoust has also published four collections of ghazals, showcasing his poetic prowess:

1. ‘Let’s Push Tehran’s Foot to Konya,’ with an introduction by Dr. Mohammad Ali Muvahhid (Meshki, 2014),
2. ‘Dance and Turn Konya into a Sunflower’ (Negah Mu’aser, 2016),

4. ’28th of Esfand’ (Aabi, 2022).”

م. رضایی تازيک

م. رضایی تازيک متولد تیرماه ۱۳۶۲ (جولای ۱۹۸۳) در مشهد است. او دانش آموخته علوم سیاسی و مطالعات خاورمیانه در دانشگاه های لوتسرن و برن در سوئیس می باشد و تمرکزش در مقاطع فوق لیسانس و دکترا به روی تاریخ اندیشه در ایران و به ويژه نقد دین از سوی ایرانیان بوده است. پایان نامه دکترای او درباره دین و نقد دین در اندیشه احمد کسروی نوشته و منتشر شده و از سوی او و همکارش بخشی از آثار فتحعلی آخوندزاده و میرزا آقاخان کرمانی نیز به آلمانی ترجمه شده اند

M. Rezaei Tazik

M. Rezaei Tazik was born in July 1983 in Mashhad. He graduated with degrees in Political Science and Middle Eastern Studies from the Universities of Lucerne and Berne in Switzerland. His master’s and doctoral studies focused on the history of intellectual thought in Iran, particularly the criticism of religion by Iranians. His doctoral dissertation examined religion and the criticism of religion in the works of Ahmad Kasravi. Additionally, Tazik has co-translated some of the works of FathAli Akhundzadeh and Mirza Agha Khan Kermani into German.

دومان ریاضی

دومان ریاضی، پژوهشگر تاریخ تئاتر، مترجم، مدرس و کارگردان این هنر است. او در مسیر مطالعات دانشگاهی خود، دکترای تخصصی در تاریخ تئاتر را از دانشگاه فلورانس و دورهٔ فوق‌دکتری را در همان حوزه از دانشگاه تورنتو به پایان رسانده است؛ و بدین‌سان، در زمرهٔ معدود پژوهشگرانی قرار دارد که مطالعات نظری و تجربی تئاتر را در گستره‌ای فراتر از مرزهای جغرافیایی دنبال کرده‌اند.

کار علمی او در تقاطع سه حوزهٔ اصلی متمرکز است: بازاندیشی و به‌روزرسانی نمایش ایرانی، کمدیادلارته و خوانش‌های انتقادیِ تاریخی از اجرا در نسبت با تحولات فرهنگی و اجتماعی.  او در فاصله‌ای نزدیک به هشت سال دستیار سیرو فررونه، یکی از بزرگ‌ترین استادان جهانی در حوزهٔ کمدیادلارته، بوده و این همکاری، تجربه‌ای منحصر‌به‌فرد از تلفیق آموزش عملی، مطالعات آکادمیک و سنت‌های زندهٔ تئاتر را برای او رقم زده است.

او همزمان با تدریس در دانشگاه‌ها و مدارس هنرهای نمایشی، در تولید آثار نمایشی و ترجمهٔ متون تخصصی تئاتر نیز فعال بوده و نگاه بینافرهنگی‌اش، هم در صحنه و هم در صفحه، حضوری محسوس دارد. کتاب حاضر، نمایش در سفر، گردآوردی از تأملاتی‌ست که در بستر تحقیق، آموزش و  کارگردانی در طی یک دهه شکل گرفته‌است. نویسنده با وقوف به ناتمامی ذاتی هر پژوهش، این مقالات را نه به‌عنوان پاسخ، بلکه به‌مثابه پرسش‌هایی رو به آینده، در اختیار خواننده می‌گذارد. چرا که در نگاه او، تئاتر نه امری ایستا، بلکه سفری است پیوسته؛ و آن‌چه اصالت دارد، گفت‌وگویی است که در این مسیر شکل می‌گیرد

Duman Riyazi

A former Susan Salek Postdoctoral Fellow with the Elahé Omidyar Mir-Djalali Institute of Iranian Studies, Duman Riyazi ‘s research interests include artefacts and manuscript documents of the commedia dell’arte, the theatrical relationship between East and West, the history of Persian theatre and Persian comedy. He has written numerous articles on la commedia dell’arte and the modernization of Persian theatre. His publications also include translations of several plays by Carlo Goldoni and commedia dell’arte plays by Siro Ferrone. Since 2012, he has initiated numerous conferences and workshops on the inspiration Western theatre has derived from Middle Eastern theatrical forms, especially those of Persian theatre. It is worth mentioning that during his studies in Italy (2013-2020), he collaborated with Professor Siro Ferrone, one of the world’s leading academic experts in the field of the commedia dell’ arte. This collaboration was very valuable for his development in the area of facilitating dialogue among communities. During this time he was frequently invited to give intercultural workshops at various universities. Most of these workshops focused on the artistic relations between Iran and the West from 1501 to 1930.

ایرن‌مونیک صالحی

ایرن‌مونیک صالحی در سال ۱۳۳۳ در پاریس متولد شده است. در پاریس و تهران و کانادا در رشته‌ی هنر تحصیل کرده و اکنون با بیش از سی سال سابقه‌ی فعالیت در زمینه‌ی نقاشی روی ابریشم در تورنتو زندگی می‌کند.

او از سال ۱۹۹۸ نمایشگاه‌های انفرادی و گروهی بسیاری را در کانادا برگزار کرده و برنده‌ی جوایزی معتبر بوده است؛ از جمله دریافت جایزه‌ی «دکتر مارسل لومیئو» از کالج شریدن کانادا در رشته‌ی طراحی و صنایع دستی، و جایزه‌ی «مارتیز» در بخش هنرهای تجسمی از شورای هنری می‌سی‌ساگا.

 زندگی، مرگ و رمز و راز جهان هستی در نقاشی‌های ایرن‌مونیک صالحی درونمایه‌هایی مهم و تاثیر‌گذارند. آثارش، با رنگ‌های درخشان و تکنیک‌های مدرن، بیننده را به سفری بصری به سوی حقیقت و روشنایی درونی می‌برند. ایرن‌مونیک صالحی در نوشته‌هایش کوشیده تا با بهره گرفتن از زندگی شخصی معنای زندگی را از طریق کلمات نیز جستجو کند. معنایی که از نظر او درآمیخته با رنگ است.

Irene Monique Salehi

Irene Monique Salehi was born in 1954 in Paris. She studied art in Paris, Tehran, and Canada, and now lives in Toronto with over thirty years of experience in silk painting.

Since 1998, she has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in Canada and has received several prestigious awards, including the Dr. Marcel Lemyieux Award from Sheridan College in the field of craft and design, and the Martys Award in the visual arts category from the Mississauga Arts Council.

Themes of life, death, and the mystery of existence are central and powerful in Irene Monique Salehi’s paintings. Her works, with their vibrant colors and modern techniques, take the viewer on a visual journey toward inner truth and illumination. In her writings as well, she has sought to explore the meaning of life through words, drawing from her personal experiences. For her, this meaning is inseparable from color.

عبدالحسین صنعتی‌زاده

بنا به تواریخ ادبی متعدد، عبدالحسین صنعتی‌زاده، در توسعه رمان تاریخی و شکل‌گیری ژانرهای علمی-تخیلی، و آرمانشهری در ادبیات مدرن فارسی نقش داشته است. اهمیت آثار او در شکل‌دهی به ادبیات فمینیستی و چندژانری نیز در ادبیات مدرن فارسی پیشنهاد شده است. صنعتی‌زاده (1274-1352)، فرزند حاج علی اکبر، که خود از همراهان میرزا آقاخان و سیدجمال‌الدین اسدآبادی و از هواخواهان جنبش مشروطه در کرمان بود، و پدر همایون صنعتی‌زاده است که کارآفرین و مباشر شعبه تهران انتشارات فرانکلین بود. عبدالحسین خیلی زود تحصیلات خود را رها کرد تا به کار تجاری در بازار بپردازد. او هم نویسنده‌ای پرکار و هم تاجری موفق بود.

Abdulhossain San’atizadeh

According to numerous literary chronicles, Abdulhossain San’atizadeh played a pioneering role in the development of the historical novel and the formation of science fiction and utopian genres in modern Persian literature. The importance of his works in shaping feminist and multi-genre literature has also been suggested in modern Persian literature.

San’atizadeh (1895-1973) was the son of Haj Ali Akbar, who was a companion of Mirza Agha Khan and Seyed Jamaluddin Asadabadi and a supporter of the constitutional movement in Kerman, and the father of Homayoun Sanetizadeh, who was an entrepreneur and the local manager of the Tehran branch of the Franklin Book Programs. He was both a prolific writer and a successful businessman.

Adeeba Shahid Talukder

Adeeba Shahid Talukder is a Pakistani and Bengali-American poet, vocalist, and translator of Urdu and Persian poetry. She is the author of Shahr-e-jaanaan: The City of the Beloved (Tupelo Press, 2020), winner of the 2017 Kundiman Poetry Prize, and the chapbook What Is Not Beautiful (Glass Poetry Press, 2018). Her work has appeared in Washington Square Review, Gulf Coast, World Literature Today, Aleph Review, The Margins, Words Without Borders, and various other publications. Adeeba holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Michigan and has received fellowships from Kundiman and Poets House. She is currently training in Hindustani classical music under Ustad Salamat Ali and is the recipient of a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts.

Alireza Shilesar

Alireza Shilesar holds a bachelor’s degree in Acting and a master’s degree in Dramatic Literature. He has written 15 plays so far, most of which he has directed and staged himself. His most recent work in Iran was the play “Nakhoda Khanom”, which was featured at the National Ritual and Traditional Festival. After immigrating to Luxembourg, he continued his artistic career in the field of theatre. His play “Hold Me, Fishes” is among his works produced outside Iran and was selected by the audience as the outstanding piece at the Heidelberg Iranian Festival.

رعنا سلیمانی

رعنا سلیمانی، نویسنده‌ ساکن استکهلم، در اسفند ۱۳۵۴ در تهران متولد شد و در رشته اقتصاد در دانشگاه تهران تحصیل کرد. از سال ۱۳۹۴ در سوئد اقامت دارد و عضو انجمن نویسندگان در تبعید و همچنین انجمن نویسندگان این کشور است. سلیمانی پیش‌تر مجموعه داستان لورکا در خیابان فرشته و رمان سندروم اولیس را در لندن منتشر کرده است. رمان دیگر او، زنده‌باد زندگی، که به روایت زندگی چهار زن زندانی می‌پردازد، در سال‌های ۲۰۲۱ و ۲۰۲۲ از پرفروش‌ترین کتاب‌های فارسی‌زبان در خارج از کشور بوده است. کتاب دیگر او یک روز بافت‌هزارسالگان است که عنوان آن از بیتی از خیام الهام گرفته شده است. جدیدترین اثر وی، خنش، نام دارد.

Rana Soleimani

Rana Soleimani is a writer based in Stockholm. Born in March 1976 in Tehran, she studied economics at the University of Tehran. Since 2015, she has been residing in Sweden and is a member of the Writers in Exile Association as well as the Swedish Writers’ Union.

Soleimani previously published the short story collection Lorca in Khiaban-e Fereshteh, from which the story Herta won one of Iran’s most prestigious literary awards. She has also published the novel Ulysses Syndrome in London.

Her novel Long Live Life, which revolves around the lives of four imprisoned women, became one of the best-selling Persian-language books outside Iran in 2021 and 2022. Another of her works, A Day with the Seven-Thousand-Year-Olds, takes its title from verses by Omar Khayyam.

پیمان یاریان

پیمان یاریان، متولد ۱۳۵۰ در غرب ایران، فعالیت فرهنگی خود را پس از اخذ دیپلم در کانون پرورش فکری کودکان و نوجوانان آغاز کرد و در مقام مربی فرهنگی به پرورش ذوق و تخیل نسل جوان پرداخت. هم‌زمان، همکاری با روزنامه‌هایی چون اعتماد و چند نشریهٔ محلی در سنندج، او را به عرصهٔ روزنامه‌نگاری و نقد ادبی وارد کرد.

در این دوره، آثاری از او منتشر شد؛ از جمله مجموعه‌داستان، رمان و فرهنگ نام‌ها. پس از مهاجرت نیز همکاری‌اش با نشریات خارج از کشور ادامه یافت و کتاب‌هایی چون کلاغ‌ها، کتاب‌سوزان و ژان را منتشر کرد. او همچنین در مطبوعات هلند فعالیت داشته و دو مجموعه‌داستان کوتاه به زبان هلندی نیز از او به چاپ رسیده است.

یاریان در کنار فعالیت‌های ادبی و مطبوعاتی، به‌عنوان پرستار با سالمندان مبتلا به آلزایمر و دیگر انواع دمانس نیز کار کرده است.

Peyman Yarian

Peyman Yarian, born in 1971 in western Iran, began his cultural work after receiving his high school diploma at the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, where he nurtured the imagination and creativity of the younger generation as a cultural instructor. At the same time, his collaborations with newspapers such as Etemad and several local publications in Sanandaj introduced him to the fields of journalism and literary criticism.

During this period, he published various works, including short-story collections, a novel, and a dictionary of names. After emigrating, he continued working with overseas publications and released books such as The Crows, Book Burning, and Jean. He has also been active in the Dutch press, and two short-story collections in Dutch have been published under his name.

Alongside his literary and journalistic endeavors, Yarian has also worked as a nurse with elderly patients suffering from Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

فاطمه زارعی

فاطمه زارعی در سال هزار و سیصدو چهل و هشت در تهران متولد شد. رشته گرافیک تحصیل کرد و در همین رشته مشغول بکار شد و سالها در این زمینه کار کرد. ولی در کنار آن، با علاقمندی داستان می نوشت. اولین مجموعه داستان کوتاهش به نام «حرفه من خواب دیدن است» در سال ۱۳۸۸ توسط نشر چشمه منتشر شد. همان سال به آمریکا مهاجرت کرد جایی که اکنون زندگی می‌کند و داستان می‌نویسد. کمی بعد همان مجموعه داستان بدون سانسور و یک ناولا به نام «ای یار جانی یار جانی» از او به زبان فارسی توسط انتشارات اچ اند اس مدیا در لندن منتشر شد.

Fatemeh Zarei

Fatemeh Zarei was born in 1969 in Tehran. She studied graphic design and worked in the same field for many years. Alongside her career, she pursued her passion for writing fiction. Her first short story collection, My Profession Is Dreaming, was published in 2009 by Cheshmeh Publishing. That same year, she immigrated to the United States, where she now lives and continues to write stories. Shortly afterward, the same collection—uncensored—along with a novella titled Ey Yār Jānī Yār Jānī was published in Persian by H&S Media in London.

وحید ضرابی‌نسب

وحید ضرابی‌نسب، دانش‌آموخته دکترای مدیریت رسانه در تهران و نویسنده، کارگردان و منتقد سینمایی ساکن تورنتو است.
وی به‌عنوان روزنامه‌نگار و سردبیر با تعداد زیادی از رسانه‌های ایران و کانادا همکاری داشته و سابقه‌ای ۲۲ ساله در مطبوعات، خبرگزاری‌ها و‌رسانه‌های نوین دارد.
او در حوزه فیلم‌سازی نیز فعال است و آخرین تجربه تصویری وی، ساخت فیلم سینمایی «دخمه -۱۳۹۸» می‌باشد که در ۱۰ فستیوال بین‌المللی حضور یافته است.

Vahid Zarrabi Nasab

Vahid Zarrabi Nasab is a PhD student in media management in Tehran and a writer, director, and film critic based in Toronto. With a 22-year career spanning journalism and editing, he has collaborated with a broad array of Iranian and Canadian media outlets, including news agencies and new media platforms.

He is also active in filmmaking, and his most recent movie is “Dakhmeh” (2018), which has been featured in 10 international festivals.
