جنبش ازلی، که پس از مرگِ باب و در تقابل و رقابت با آیینِ بهائی شکل گرفت، تنها یک حرکت دینی نبود، بلکه یک نظام فکری و گفتمانی را پروراند که در سیاست، فقه و حقوق، جامعه، اخلاق ، آموزش و فرهنگ به تولید اندیشه پرداخت. ازلیان کوشیدند در درونِ سنتِ اسلامی ـ ایرانی، قرائتی باطنی، ضداستبدادی و تحول‌خواه پدید آورند؛ قرائتی که از یک‌سو بازپردازیِ سنتِ اسلامی را مطالبه می‌کرد و از سوی دیگر، با افزودن بر کانون‌های متنی و جابه‌جاییِ مرجعیت، در پیِ دگرگون‌سازیِ بنیان‌های اقتدارِ دینی بود. از این حیث، ازلیان در موقعیتی میانجی قرار داشتند و میانِ سه قلمرو در نوسان بودند: سنتِ عرفانی و باطنی، عقلانیتِ مدرن، و اندیشهٔ رهایی.
ازلیان می‌دانستند که بیان آشکار عقایدشان در ایران قاجاری به بهای جان تمام می‌شود. از همین‌رو، نوشتارشان چهره‌ای دوگانه یافت: سطحی آشکار و سطحی باطنی. در ظاهر، نصیحت می‌گفتند و اصلاح اخلاق مردمان را خواستار بودند.اما، در باطن، نقد مرجعیت و انحلال نهاد روحانیت، نقد شریعت اسلامی و دعوت به شریعتی بازپرداخت شده، و دعوت به مبارزه با قاجار را دنبال می‌کردند.
این دوگانگی در آثارِ فؤادِ کرمانی، به‌ویژه در هیجان‌الوطن، نمودِ روشنی دارد. زبانِ شعر در نگاهِ نخست، زبانی ملی و خطابی است، اما در سطحی عمیق‌تر، با اندیشه و جهان‌بینیِ جنبشِ بابی و دلالت‌های اجتماعی و سیاسیِ آن واردِ گفت‌وگو می‌شود. از همین‌رو، اگر متن با نگاهی رمزخوان و آگاه به اشاراتِ ازلی و محاسباتِ عددیِ کلمات خوانده نشود، ممکن است صرفاً به‌عنوان متنی سکولار یا اصلاح‌طلبِ شیعیِ مشروطه‌خواه فهم شود و لایه‌های متمایزِ فکریِ آن نادیده بماند. نادیده‌ماندنی که آفت بسی خوانش‌ها از عقاید ازلی‌ها و تفسیرگری‌های مشروطه ایرانی است.
کرمان ان دوران را گاه پایتخت ازلیه خوانده اند. فؤاد، شاعرِ مشروطۀ کرمان است و از آن‌جا که چهره‌هایی چون میرزا آقاخان، شیخ احمد روحی، میرزا رضا، مجدالاسلام و ناظم‌الاسلام از این شهر برخاسته‌اند، مطالعهٔ شعرِ او به‌منزلۀ گشودنِ دریچه‌ای برای شناختِ یکی از کانون‌های مهمِ مشروطۀ ایرانی، یعنی کرمان، تلقی می‌شود. کرمانِ روزگارِ فؤاد میدانِ تلاقیِ آرا و عقاید گوناگون بود و به‌درستی می‌توان آن را کارگاهی پرجوش‌وخروش از اندیشه‌های الهیاتی دانست؛ شهری که در آن، شیخیان، اسماعیلیان، نعمت‌اللهیان، بهائیان و ازلیان حضور داشتند و در پیِ مراوده و نزاع بر سرِ نسبتِ امرِ کهن و امرِ نو، بسیاری از مفاهیمِ آیندهٔ ایران را در همین سپهر صورت‌بندی کردند.
کتاب فعلی، افزون بر آن‌که تصحیحی انتقادی و دقیق از این اثر به دست می‌دهد، کوششی آگاهانه برای بازاندیشی در برخی روایت‌های تثبیت‌شده از مشروطیت ایران نیز به‌شمار می‌آید. اثر حاضر با فراهم‌آوردن متنِ تصحیح‌شده و معرفیِ زمینه‌های تاریخی، فکری و اجتماعیِ آن، می‌کوشد این متن را از جایگاهِ صرفاً ادبی یا محلی بیرون بکشد و در دلِ منازعاتِ گفتمانیِ عصر مشروطه بنشاند. در کنارِ تصحیح و معرفی، مجموعه‌ای از مقاله‌ها نیز آمده است که هدفِ آن‌ها نه صرفاً شرح و توضیح، بلکه مداخله‌ای تحلیلی در فهمِ گفتمان مشروطیت در ایران است؛ مداخله‌ای که می‌کوشد از مرکزیتِ روایت‌های تهران‌ و‌تبریز محور فاصله بگیرد و نقشِ ایالات، به‌ویژه کرمان، را در شکل‌گیری، تداوم و تنوعِ این جنبش برجسته سازد.

The Azali movement, which took shape after the death of the Báb and in opposition and competition with the Bahá’í religion, was not merely a religious one. The Azalis sought to produce, from within the Islamic–Iranian tradition, an esoteric, anti-despotic, and reformist reading and discourse—one that on the one hand demanded a reworking of the Islamic tradition, and on the other sought to transform the foundations of religious authority by expanding the textual core and displacing established loci of authority. In this respect, the Azalis occupied an intermediary position, oscillating among three domains: mystical and esoteric tradition, modern rationality, and emancipatory thought.

The Azalis were well aware that openly expressing their beliefs in Qajar Iran would cost them their lives. For this reason, their writings assumed a dual character: an outward, exoteric layer and an inward, esoteric one. On the surface, they offered moral counsel and called for the ethical reform of society. At a deeper level, however, they pursued a critique of religious authority and the dissolution of the clerical institution, a critique of Islamic law and a call for its reconfiguration, as well as an invitation to struggle against the Qajar state.

This duality is clearly manifested in the works of Foād-e Kermānī, especially in Hayajān al-Vaṭan. At first glance, the language of the poetry appears nationalistic and declamatory; yet at a deeper level, it enters into dialogue with the thought and worldview of the Bábí movement and its social and political implications. Consequently, if the text is not read through a symbolic and code-conscious lens—one attentive to Azali allusions and the numerical calculations of words—it may be understood merely as a secular or Shiʿi reformist constitutionalist text, causing its distinct intellectual layers to be overlooked. Such oversight has plagued many readings of Azali beliefs and interpretations of the Iranian Constitutional Revolution.

Foad was a constitutionalist poet from Kerman, and since figures such as Mirza Aqa Khan, Shaykh Ahmad Ruhi, Mirza Reza, Majd al-Islam, and Nazem al-Islam emerged from this city, studying his poetry may be regarded as opening a window onto one of the major centers of the Iranian Constitutional Movement—namely, Kerman. Kerman in Foād’s time was a site of convergence for diverse ideas and beliefs, and can rightly be described as a vibrant workshop of theological thought: a city in which Shaykhis, Ismaʿilis, Neʿmatollahi Sufis, Bahá’ís, and Azalis were present, and through their interactions and conflicts over the relationship between the old and the new, articulated many of the concepts that would shape Iran’s future within this very sphere.

The present book, in addition to providing a rigorous and critical edition of this work, constitutes a conscious effort to rethink certain established narratives of the Iranian Constitutional Revolution. By offering a critically edited text and introducing its historical, intellectual, and social contexts, the volume seeks to move this work beyond a purely literary or local framework and situate it within the discursive struggles of the constitutional era. Alongside the critical edition and introduction, the book includes a collection of articles whose aim is not merely explanation or commentary, but analytical intervention in the understanding of constitutionalist discourse in Iran—an intervention that seeks to move away from the dominance of Tehran- and Tabriz-centered narratives and to foreground the role of the provinces, particularly Kerman, in the formation, continuity, and diversity of this movement.

انسان در زمانه درد و دار موضوع این اشعار است.

این انسان جایی ندارد برود، اما او را می‌گیرند و به زور به یک جایی می‌برند:

به داخل جیپ گشت هل می‌دهند یا در یک گاراژ بی‌نام و نشان در میان انبوه بازداشتی‌ها می‌چپانند.

یک جا دخترکی است که در کودکی با مادرش در خیابانها دنبال نذری می‌گردد تا شکمش را سیر کند؛ یک جا در ده سالگی از کوچه‌های کودکی در محلات فلکزده به بیابان گریخته تا به زور عروس نشود.

یکجا با موهای پریشان به خیابان دویده و گیر لباس شخصی‌ها افتاده؛ یک جا جلوی دکه روزنامه‌فروشی دستگیر شده؛ جایی دیگر در شب تاریک ناموس از شوهر مظنونش چاقوخورده و خونین به زمین افتاده: جیغ و عربده در دل تاریکی شیشه‌ها را در کوچه‌های نامردی می‌شکنند.

عزا عزاست هر روز. همه جا نوحه و روضه می‌خوانند و خیابانها پر از سایه و مرده است.

مرده‌ها مثل برگهای پاییزی روی زمین ریخته‌اند. در که می‌گشایی باید احتیاط کنی آن‌ها را زیر پا له نکنی.

با وجود اقتدار وحشت و مرگ، مرگ قادر مطلق نیست و زندگی از هر فرصتی سود می‌برد تا از زندان و مرگ بگریزد و شاد و آزاد زندگی کند:

نیمه‌های شب

یکی محکم به در کوفت

دیدیم مرگ است

باز زدیم و رقصیدیم

با وجود سرکوب، زندگی تمام نمی‌شود؛ از دل مرگ می‌روید:

هر چه می‌زدند

ما نمی‌مردیم

سرانجام

زنده دفن‌مان کردند

دیدند

داریم می‌روییم

The subject of these poems is the human being in an age of pain and gallows.
This human has nowhere to go, yet they seize them and forcibly take them somewhere:
they shove them into a patrol jeep, or cram them into an unmarked garage among a mass of detainees.

In one place there is a little girl who, as a child, wanders the streets with her mother looking for votive food offerings so she can fill her stomach;
elsewhere, at the age of ten, she has fled from the alleys of her childhood in impoverished neighborhoods into the desert so she won’t be forced into marriage.
Somewhere she has run into the street with disheveled hair and fallen into the hands of plainclothes agents;
somewhere she has been arrested in front of a newspaper kiosk;
elsewhere, in the dark of night, a woman—stabbed by her suspicious husband—has fallen to the ground, bloody:
screams and shouts in the heart of the darkness shatter the windows in merciless alleys.

Every day is a day of mourning. Everywhere they chant laments and dirges, and the streets are full of shadows and the dead.
The dead lie scattered on the ground like autumn leaves. When you open the door, you must be careful not to crush them underfoot.

Despite the dominion of terror and death, death is not all-powerful, and life seizes every opportunity to escape prison and death and live joyfully and freely:

At midnight
someone knocked hard on the door

We saw it was Death
we opened the door again and danced

Despite repression, life does not end; it grows out of death itself:

No matter how much they struck us
we did not die

At last
they buried us alive

They saw
we were growing

آغاز عرضه‌ی کتاب‌های فارسی در ایندیگو کانادا

بعد از ماه‌ها مکاتبه، پیگیری و مطالبه‌گری فرهنگیِ نشر آسمانا و با تکیه بر این باور راسخ که ادبیات فارسی، امروز بخشی بسیار پررنگ و باشکوه از ادبیات کانادا را تشکیل می‌دهد، سرانجام این اتفاق تاریخی رخ داد:
برای نخستین بار در تاریخ عرضه‌ی کتاب در کانادا، کتاب‌های فارسی به قفسه‌های بزرگ‌ترین کتابفروشی زنجیره‌ای کشور، ایندیگو، راه یافتند.
به همین مناسبت، نشر آسمانا با همکاری ایندیگوی ریچموندهیل (هیل‌کرست) و همراهی گروهی از نویسندگان برجسته‌ی جامعه‌ی فارسی‌زبانِ نشر، این رخداد را با حضور در این شعبه و گفتگوی فرهنگی گرامی می‌دارد.

“One Hundred Nights of Yearning” is a collection of poems by Mansour Noorbakhsh, composed from the year 2009 onward, with the exception of one poem written in 1981. These poems either bear witness to the wounds and outcries of the Iranian people over these years or reflect the poet’s contemplations and introspections. Most of these poems are undated, as they express a pain that has echoed and repeated throughout all these years.

نمایش‌نامه‌خوانی و جشن امضای کتاب

دوشنبه، 29 جولای ساعت هشت شب، برنامه نمایشنامه‌خوانی و امضای کتاب «درنای سیبری» با همکاری کافه آرچ و نشر آسمانا در این کافه در منطقه کنزینگتون تورنتو برگزار میشود. علی فومنی، نویسنده اثر، از امریکا مهمان ما خواهند بود و بخشی از اثر را اجرا می‌کنند و در ادامه جلسه گفتگو و بحث خواهیم داشت.

«درنای سیبری» نمایش‌نامه‌ای از علی فومنی متشکل از چهار داستان که در دوازده صحنه پیش می‌روند. در ساختار این نمایش‌نامه، چهار مونولوگ در تلاش برای تبدیل شدن به دیالوگ هستند.

علی فومنی، متولدِ ۱۳۵۷، شاعر، نویسنده و کارگردانِ تئاتر است. او به بیماریِ مزمن و سختی مبتلاست که تلاش‌ها برای درمانش تا کنون بی‌نتیجه مانده؛ نامِ بیماریِ او «امید» است

کتاب”نجوای واحه” شامل یکصد شعر‌ کوتاه چند هجایی بنام لیکوست که به زبان‌ اصلی رودباری ان‌ها، به همراه ترجمه فارسی و انگلیسی منتشر شده است. این لیکوها ژرفای دریا را دارند و بر جان و دل انسان می‌نشینند و جلوه‌ای هستند از دشواری‌ها، سرخوردگی‌ها و آرزوهای در سراب انسان‌های حاشیه‌ی کویر در جنوب شرق ایران.
