رمان زوال ما در مرز میان رئالیسم و سوررئالیسم شکل می‌گیرد و با لحنی تلخ و بی‌رحم، به کندوکاو در لایه‌های فروپاشیده‌ی انسان و جامعه می‌پردازد. اثری در آستانه‌ی انقلاب، در فضایی اشرافی اما پوسیده، که واقعیت به کابوس بدل می‌شود و شخصیت‌ها یکی‌یکی در دل زمان، خاک و وهم گم می‌شوند. این رمان، با رگه‌هایی از ادبیات اگزیستانسیالیستی، نشان می‌دهد چگونه انسانِ بی‌پناه، در غیاب عشق و معنا، دست به زنده‌به‌گوریِ خویشتن و دیگری می‌زند. زوال ما در عین حال که یک تراژدی فردی است، بازتابی از فروپاشی جمعی نیز هست سرگذشت انسان‌هایی که نه تنها در تاریخ، که در دلِ یک باغ نیز دفن می‌شوند.

بدری، داستان راوی سی و چند ساله‌ای‌ست که خرج زندگی‌اش را از روابط عاشقانه با زنان ثروتمند درمی‌آورد. زنانی که به هر دلیل دوست دارند با جوانی وقت بگذرانند و چه بهتر که این جوان بیکار باشد و عاشق‌پیشه. در همان صفحه‌های اولْ راوی با بدری آشنا می‌شود و در رابطه‌ی جدیدی که دارد شکل می‌گیرد به این فکر می‌افتد که دروغ‌های عاشقانه‌ای که برای سرگرم کردن و تیغ زدن زن‌ها به کار می‌بَرَد دیگر برایش دلپذیر نیست. حالا می‌خواهد در رابطه با بدری، کار دیگری کند، دروغی که بتواند زندگی‌اش را تغییر دهد. آنچه در تمام طول داستان اتفاق می‌افتد، تلاش راوی برای یافتن این «کار دیگر» است و خواننده در رویاویی با این تلاش است که به ظرافت‌های شخصیت راوی، بدری، و رابطه‌ی پیچیده‌ی آن‌ها پی‌می‌برد.

بهروز بدخشان در روایتش از شهری که با دوستان و بدری در آن پرسه می‌زند، اصفهان، زاینده‌رود، و محله‌ی وحید یا همان «صحراروغن» را به‌تصویر می‌کشد، به ساکنین بی‌صدای این محله‌ی قدیمی صدا می‌بخشد و آن‌ها را از نگاه کسی که از آن‌هاست و در میان آن‌ها زندگی کرده است تحلیل می‌کند. رمان بدری، کنکاش نویسنده در رابطه‌هایش با آدم‌ها، خودش، و همچنین محله‌ای که در آن بزرگ شده است و حالا اصفهان مدرن دارد آن را فرومی‌بلعد.

“Badri” is the story of a man in his early thirties who makes his living through romantic relationships with wealthy women—women who, for various reasons, enjoy spending time with a young man, and all the better if he is unemployed and inclined toward romance. In the opening pages, the narrator meets Badri, and as their new relationship begins to form, he realizes that the romantic lies he invents to entertain and exploit women no longer please him. This time, with Badri, he wants to try something else—a lie that could change the course of his life.
The entire novel follows the narrator’s search for this ‘something else,’ and it is through the reader’s encounter with this quest that the subtleties of the narrator’s character, Badri herself, and the complexities of their relationship come to light.

In his portrayal of the city where he wanders with his friends and with Badri—Isfahan, the Zayandeh Rood, and the Vahid neighborhood, also known as “Sahra-Rowghan”—Behrooz Badakhshan brings to life the overlooked inhabitants of this old district. He gives voice to people rarely heard, interpreting them through the eyes of someone who is one of them and has grown up in their midst. Badri is the author’s excavation of his relationships with others, with himself, and with the neighborhood in which he was raised—now being swallowed by modern Isfahan.

این کتاب پژوهشی است در پیوند ژرف میان گاه‌شماری خورشیدی، حافظه‌ی جمعی، و هویت تاریخی ایرانیان. نویسنده در این اثر تلاش کرده است نشان دهد چگونه نظام زمان‌سنجی خورشیدی نه‌تنها از دل تاریخ پرتلاطم ایران زنده و پویا باقی مانده، بلکه به بخش بنیادینی از هویت فرهنگی، سیاسی و تاریخی ساکنان ایران‌زمین تبدیل شده است.

نویسنده با بررسی ریشه‌های تاریخی تقویم خورشیدی، از جمله تدوین تقویم جلالی در قرون میانه و رسمی شدن آن در عصر پهلوی، به این پرسش می‌پردازد که چرا جشن‌هایی چون نوروز همچنان در حافظه‌ی ملی ایرانیان زنده مانده‌اند، حال‌آن‌که آیین‌هایی چون مهرگان به فراموشی سپرده شده‌اند.

در این میان، نقش حافظه‌ی جمعی—به‌عنوان ذخیره‌ی مشترک خاطرات، دانش و تجربه‌ی تاریخی یک ملت—در تداوم و بازتولید هویت ایرانی محور اصلی بحث قرار می‌گیرد. نویسنده با نگاهی انتقادی به مفاهیمی چون «حافظه‌ی تاریخی» و «هویت ملی»، آن‌ها را در پیوند با نشانه‌های زمانی و فرهنگی تحلیل می‌کند و به خواننده نشان می‌دهد که چگونه تقویم و زمان‌سنجی می‌تواند بنیانی برای انسجام فرهنگی و تاریخی یک ملت باشد.

واژه‌ی ” تنگلوشا” در سرنام این کتاب از شعر نظامی گنجوی گرفته شده که نام کتابی بوده است در هنر نگارگری و در ادب پارسی و از آن همچون منبع یا مجازی از مطلق زیبایی و کمال صور هنری یاد شده است. این کتاب مجموعه‌ای است از جستارها به قلم رضا فرخفال که با جستاری به یاد شاهرخ مسکوب آغاز می‌شود و در جستارهای دیگر به میهن ایرانی و ادب و زبان فارسی و نیز ادبیات معاصر ایران پرداخته شده است. در پیوست این کتاب همچنین نقد بلندی را می‌خوانید درباره آرای ادبی و زبانی آرامش دوستدار که در آن کاستی‌ها و کج‌فهمی او در رفتار با مسایل زبانی (زبان فارسی) و میراث شعری ادب پارسی به ویژه شعر حافظ بررسی شده است.

The evening brought together poets, critics, translators, and scholars, including Olga Stein, Allen Briesmaster, Diana Manole, Ali Sobati, and Mehdi Ganjavi, alongside Noorbakhsh.

About the editor: Shahrzad Mojab—scholar, teacher, and activist—is internationally known for her work on the impact of war, displacement, and violence on women’s work, learning and education. She is Professor Emerita of Adult Education and Community Development and Women and Gender Studies at the University of Toronto. She served as an interim Principal of New College, Directors of Women and Gender Studies as well as Critical Studies in Equity and Solidarity, University of Toronto. She is the authors of numerous books and articles and the recipient of many awards. “One Hundred Nights of Yearning” is a collection of poems by Mansour Noorbakhsh, composed from the year 2009 onward, with the exception of one poem written in 1981. These poems either bear witness to the wounds and outcries of the Iranian people over these years or reflect the poet’s contemplations and introspections. Most of these poems are undated, as they express a pain that has echoed and repeated throughout all these years.

نمایش‌نامه‌خوانی و جشن امضای کتاب

دوشنبه، 29 جولای ساعت هشت شب، برنامه نمایشنامه‌خوانی و امضای کتاب «درنای سیبری» با همکاری کافه آرچ و نشر آسمانا در این کافه در منطقه کنزینگتون تورنتو برگزار میشود. علی فومنی، نویسنده اثر، از امریکا مهمان ما خواهند بود و بخشی از اثر را اجرا می‌کنند و در ادامه جلسه گفتگو و بحث خواهیم داشت.

«درنای سیبری» نمایش‌نامه‌ای از علی فومنی متشکل از چهار داستان که در دوازده صحنه پیش می‌روند. در ساختار این نمایش‌نامه، چهار مونولوگ در تلاش برای تبدیل شدن به دیالوگ هستند.

علی فومنی، متولدِ ۱۳۵۷، شاعر، نویسنده و کارگردانِ تئاتر است. او به بیماریِ مزمن و سختی مبتلاست که تلاش‌ها برای درمانش تا کنون بی‌نتیجه مانده؛ نامِ بیماریِ او «امید» است

کتاب”نجوای واحه” شامل یکصد شعر‌ کوتاه چند هجایی بنام لیکوست که به زبان‌ اصلی رودباری ان‌ها، به همراه ترجمه فارسی و انگلیسی منتشر شده است. این لیکوها ژرفای دریا را دارند و بر جان و دل انسان می‌نشینند و جلوه‌ای هستند از دشواری‌ها، سرخوردگی‌ها و آرزوهای در سراب انسان‌های حاشیه‌ی کویر در جنوب شرق ایران.

این کتاب روز ۲۱ جون از ۵ تا ۷ بعد از ظهر در محل ذیل روگشایی خواهد شد. مترجم کتاب مهدی گنجوی و آقای منصور علیمرادی (جمع‌اوری کننده لیکوها) در برنامه با ما به گفتگو خواهند نشست:
